  1. Three M-60 destroyed (mostly by VKS) near Nayrab yesterday.
  2. Clear video of TSK launching MANPADS from their OP yesterday. https://mobile.twitter.com/MathieuMorant/status/1230855940649504769
  3. Check 0:39. Clearly visible launch of MANPDAS from the Turkish base. It's most likely the failed attempt to hit a VKS Su-24M, i.e. a direct attack from TSK on a Russian plane. It looks like that may have the reason why VKS bombed the Turkish OP and killed TSK soldiers. Allegedly another video of the attempt is bellow. It also supports the theory that the two SyAAF Mi-8 were shot down directly by TSK, not by the rebels. A list of websites and twitter accounts which received a request from Turkish court to remove photos of destroyed Turkish armor: And iIn Looser's words (or Orc's)... Kek
  4. I wouldn't call it a miss if it managed to knock out some 7-8 cars by shrapnels (not sure if the one on the far right was hit too or came later). Anyway this Anna video is literally filled with dead bodies and destroyed machinery. At some points it looked like a slaughter.
  5. New Anna video with a lot of destroyed Turkish-supplied armor. Totally worth the time to watch. Meanwhile there was no advance by SAA today but airstrikes didn't stop. Russian-Turkish talks in Moscow allegedly failed.
  6. Recent situation on @suriyakmaps map. 11th and 12th Turkish observation post were added to the collection of besieged ones. Now it looks likeSAA is heading towards Dara'at al Izza (the town and its surroundings were hit by many airstrikes today) which is located on the main highway connection with Turkey (M62). If SAA manages to continue further west it may cut the rest of Idlib from Turkey completely. What is also interesting is that SAA advanced from the SDF territory today (capturing of Shaykh Aqil and surroundings).
  7. F9 Panthera destroyed near Taftanaz Menwhile SAA didn't stop and continues its advance on several directions (first time advanced from the SDF NW of Aleppofor example).
  8. A true autoloader is for sure in vz.77 Dana with 36 rounds in it. Another 24 are stored outside the autoloader. Emergency manual loading is possible. Here is a video of Dana autoloader
  9. Especially if the action takes a long time. The human gets tired, the autoloader doesn't.
  10. That information was incorrect however SAA kept advancing today despite snowfalls. Here a map from @suriyakmaps
  11. According to recent reports SAA captured Kafr Naha town and advancing towards Urem al Kubra along the road No.60 from Aleppo to the west. A lot of fighting is reported also from the eastern front between SDF+SAA and SNA+TSK artillery.
  12. It's getting crazier every day. This little skirmish involving US patrol is just a small part of the overall craziness. Anyway I don't know what US soldiers expected when they were travelling into an area which is known for being heavily pro-government and where the local tribe previously clashed also with Kurdish Asaysh. There was some damage to the US vehicles from stones and small arms fire (pierced tyres, broken bullet-proof glass etc.), on the other hand the local tribe had one killed and another wounded. In the end the Russians came to calm the situation. There was no US airstrike despite some reports about it. On Aleppo front TSK openly supported Jihadi counter attacks with artillery and MLRS fire. Despite that and use of SVBIED (artillery of a NATO country covering an SVBIED attack is something completely mad for me) all counter attacks so far failed. SAA is said to use BM-27 and BM-30 in the counter-battery fire. Already in the morning TSK announced that 14 soldiers were killed and 45 wounded in Idlib. The number is likely bigger by now. There is even an unconfirmed claim of M-60 tanks being used today in the counter attacks. Despite that SAA continued its advance, however yesterday's info about capture of Karf Nouran was not true. Today SAA took five villages north-east of Kafr Aleppo along the M5 highway.
  13. While there was a lot of hype about the jihadi counter attack (failed) and the lost SyAAF Mi-8 the really important things happend elsewhere. SAA managed a real breakthrough in western Aleppo suburbs capturing Al Rashidin 4, Khan al Asal and all areas on the eastern side of the M4 between Al Zarbeh and Al Rashidin 4. Meanwhile 25th division continued advancing west and allegedly captured Kafr Nouran (east of Kafr Aleppo) directly north of Taftanaz airbase currently serving as a TSK base. Seems that SAA is trying to force TSK to withdraw to the north while in the same time in takes a risk of being cut off. Map of south-western Aleppo from @suriyakmaps Some reports claim several TSK soldiers were wounded during an air raid (VKS?) on the militant gathering in Qmenas (photos posted by Looser previously). This video allegedly shows the strike. Is that ODAB bombs? Anyway since the airstrike took place on a hot frontline I think that it didn't need to target specifically TSK units but rather the militans trying to conquer Nayrab.
  14. Yes, I think that it's made this way to allow continuous fire even if the reloading system doesn't work.
  15. Syrian Mi-24P damaged today allegedly by S-60 gun. https://twitter.com/Syrian_MC/status/1226963308995018753
  16. Today in the morning TSK started MLRS fire on SAA as a support for the planned SNA counter offensive. The outgoing fire can be seen for example on this video. The planned counter offensive was however halted by the following incident. SAA reacted by heavy artillery and MLRS strike on the new Turkish stronghold in the Taftanaz airbase. According to the Turskish MOD six TSK soldiers died and others were wounded (officially four but most likely more). Most probably a number of SNA fighters was killed and wounded too. After that Turkish MOD went full Baghdad Bob: Meanwhile the talks between the Russians and the Turks allegedly failed. The offensive of SAA will most probably continue but it's hard to predict what Turkey will do now. IMHO they don't have much choice. I don't think that a full-scale war with Syria is an option even for Erdogan but deterrence clearly doesn't work at all. By the way VKS airstrikes didn't stop during the talks. Today SAA didn't stop its advance but turned westwards and captured Kafr Aleppo. Map from @civilwarmap. Also some images from February 3rd SAA strike on TSK (7 TSK soldiers + 1 contractor KIA) emerged including a fully burnt Sabra tank.
  17. I can't verify this claim in any way but @withinsyriablog claims that the following four ATGM strikes (in the twitter thread) including that posted by you are all against the very same T-72 Adra tank.
  18. This is not even mad... I don't know how to call it
  19. El Eis taken by SAA.
  20. It looks like SAA will take El Eis and ICARDA today or tomorrow. That was the main stronghold for the militants in the South Aleppo for years. There is also a Turkish base in El Eis. This map from @civilwarmap is not even the latest status. The front is already at El Eis itself from the south after SAA took the four villages south of Icarda (from Jubb Kas to Banis).
  21. Czech government decided to send another 60 soldiers (601st Group of Special Operations) to Sahel. They will be part of purely French-lead operation Barkhane, task force Takuba. That is interesting in two things - it's combat operation and it's not lead by UN, EU or NATO but directly by the French. The soldiers will operate in Sahel (not only in Mali) for two years since half of 2020. Besides that Czech contingent in EU Training Mission in Mali stays on 118 soldiers (of 620 total) and in June Czechs will take the lead in the mission. https://www.armadninoviny.cz/konec-afghanistanu-ceska-armada-se-presouva-do-afriky.html
