Managed to catch convoy of military vehicles arriving to St.Petersburg for tomorrow's Victory Parade. Here are artillery vehicles and guns (nothing new, if you are looking for that kind of info).

       Nona-SVK

       Msta-S SPGs

Towed artillery - D-30 122 mm guns towed by Urals and Bears with Giatsint-B 152 mm guns.

Iskanders. They were the loudest non-tracked vehicle and their exhaust were creating their own local greenhouse effect and killing birds mid-air.

       Tornado-Gs

Today managed to catch military vehicles arriving for a Victory Parade in St.Petersburg. Positioned myself at Troitskiy bridge exit, near Marsovo field, where majority of trucks and AFVs were doing 90 degree turn towards Marsovo field and then to 2 other streets. Artillery vehicles i will post in different thread.

       BMP-3s

       T-72B3Ms

Next group of vehicles went in different direction. Mainly wheeled AFVs and armored cars - Tigrs, BTRs, etc.

Most important vehicle of our army - UAZ compact NAPC (non-armored personal carrier)

So after convoys parted i went to Millionaya street nearby, where heavy AFVs were unloaded and prepared.

People were walking to this T-34-85 and making photos.

Was posted on this forum back in 2017, leaked photos of prototype of Pantsir-SM.

SAM and booster are visible here:

Missile have similar layout as normal AA missile for Pantsir - 2 stage missile with big booster of bigger caliber. Somewhat similar to Kornet-Bulat kind of deal.

An article on the "Chinese Armata" has surfaced. Most important design characteristics: unmanned turret and 2 man crew. Judging by the drawings, it may suggest less emphasis on armor compared to T-14, even on the front of the crew compartment. The shape of the crew compartment is very reminiscing of the front hull of the Abrams, but in this case the UFP actually has a composite layer. As for the turret it looks very much like a clusterf*ck in my opinion, lots of sights and very uncommon placement for other turret equipment.  The main gun seems like a 125 or  even a 105mm, if its supposed to to be a traditional one or something border sci-fi like electrothermal-chemical is still unknown.
I still don't know what to think about this thing, i'm still digesting it. But judging from the overall characteristics it suggest a tank lighter than T-14, perhaps in the 40 ton class, which makes sense so that its less restricted in terms of operation depending on the terrain, unlike heavier tanks such as Type 99A.

I recall seeing it when it first was shown (I guess this time last year given the tweet date) because the Merkava-esque turret, but it doesn't seem anything has become of it since, so far as I can tell.  I have a feeling the tank is/was probably just a mock-up for show.

Turret with with ultraforcelain inserts (cylinders) from the technical project of “Izdelie 432”, 1961. They returned to this idea in 1968, but the final version was corundum balls KVP-98, which were produced by a ceramic factory in Slavyansk (assembly of inserts with balls). The very development of the turret from the project to the adoption in 1973 took 12 years.
