  1. Lol. Youtube commenters do that all the time. Along with "can you do this next week with an HK G11/OICW/Steyr ACR?".
  2. I really thought about getting a reproduction Mckeever cartridge case, but I couldn't justify the expense for the video. My tried and true tactical fanny pack is the pinnacle of cartridge containing systems.
  3. I say Rolling Block so I can just use some of the 7mm I have on hand. Our sponsor doesn't carry obsolete BP cartridges
  4. Well it's here. Tough course! I would love to use a Rolling Block next to show how much of a force multiplier bolt actions were.
  5. Would be tricky to use with rimmed 30-40 instead of 6.5x55. Rim lock is a real issue on these little bastards.
  6. The gun gods demanded a sacrifice! I mean I never doubted how significant the stripper clip was, but damn if loading a Krag with some haste doesn't deepen your appreciation for them.
  7. They don't say or imply that at all. In regards to German material shortages they said "...The Scweinfurt Raid was designed to destroy ball bearings, and the Tiger Tank with it's screeching noises were bushings as a result of not having ball bearings". Starts at 13:40 in the video.
  8. I found their retort to be civil. They did not attack Nate's character or anything in a matter that would necessitate any nastiness. If they had done something akin to what those gentlemen from Reddit did a while back then you could justify an angry response, but they didn't.
  9. Nathaniel, thou hath been called out: https://www.full30.com/video/e6d39490c7cbaf8a20a80fcdbc9f1c86
  10. I can confirm that the G43 is indeed prone to parts breakages. I literally just snapped and actuator rod and cracked a bolt sleeve. Cost me $400 to get the goddamn thing up and running again. The gunsmith I sent it to said that it is very common for parts to have been improperly heat treated even at the start of production. Another gentleman I know who owns a gun shop had a bolt carrier explode in his face. It was the one time he wore eye protection by a stroke of luck (I believe Nathaniel was with me when I was being told the story).
  11. I have fired probably 4 of them and they all pretty much belch a little fire out the ejection port. But I would assume the rifles are over gassed quite a lot, just like the G43 rifles (they just arent as prone to parts breakages). Despite the somewhat crude outward appearance, the internals are stout and seem to be very well machined. To those who have not shot one, I would describe the experience as very mechanical if not somewhat clunky. It feels like you are shooting something that is dependent on a series of cogs and and pulleys to cycle but recoil is extremely low and the experience is quite pleasant.
  12. This evening I learned the art of the gross motor skills reload. It has changed the way I shoot. God bless this man:
  13. So this showed up at the shop today. Mosler Raptor GTR. I am not afraid of driving anything in here, but something about a 1,200hp car weighing in at just over 2,000 pounds makes me nervous: Couple of remote mount snails that make a very harmonious whistle:
  14. Alternatives to conventional piston layouts:
  15. There is a real one going through RIA this go around: http://www.rockislandauction.com/viewitem/aid/53/lid/1478 I am curious as to what it will bring.
  16. It is also worth noting that the SD's can is very primitive. If you take an SD and add an updated suppressor with a similar volume they are still going to be quieter than those little B&T units (not to mention, with the SD model all of your ammo is rendered subsonic by the barrel porting). HK Upfitters have taken note and roll their own SD cans these days.
  17. So when you are illegally street racing, you probably shouldn't pull your chute if you see a cop:
  18. I think they have those undervalued. Some big-money collector will surely put up enough cash to scoop up all three regardless of cost to get the nice crated set. But the only thing that caught my eye was this little guy: http://www.rockislandauction.com/viewitem/aid/66/lid/1653
  19. I feel like if there is a gun that defines you as a person it is an obscure American self-loading Garand competitor in .276 caliber that uses elements of Pedersen's designs.
