Mech, there is a type 81 at the next rock island:
http://www.rockislandauction.com/viewitem/aid/67/lid/881
And its a model for which magazines exist!

22 more videos on it incoming.

It is 9 AM here so I am still in the blind calling for birds.
I would be more keen on using a compound bow, but due to several collarbone breakages I cannot draw one.
-
Its a $1500 gun sure, but it is without a doubt the apex of the SMG.
-
I heard that the Mexicans didn't have great luck with them either, though that may just be rumor.
Regardless, they are heavy and worse than most other rifles in their class.
I have heard a lot of bizarre claims about the HK/Cetme roller delayed blowback systems in 5.56 applications, but I certainly have not experienced them first hand.
Really though, lets not kid ourselves: the system shines like the radiance of 1000 suns in 9mm.
-
Also, blew off work today to get me a gobbler on opening day.
-
There are a lot of bad conversions out there that crumby smiths worked over. I have seen many where they didnt even use a 53 locking piece or proper carrier.
-
Indeed. I can think of no finer industrial-grade paperweight than an HK53.
Say what you will, but those things run like a scalded ape.
-
Submit yourself to greatness. No finer small arms exist.
Look into your heart. You know this to be true.

Lee Enfields are chambered in a hard to find caliber in rural areas, are too long and heavy (yes, I know there were carbines), have no comfy recoil pad, and have no muzzle brake.
For the same price I can get a Madsen in glorious 30-06.

This was a brilliant video by the guys at inrange:

Hey Alex, are you interested in the Euro super cars at all? Did you watch the show topgear?
I used to.
But no, my passion for American iron is paralleled by my hatred for European autos (especially anything from Britain).
-
Yes, the stamped ones are nifty.
-
Dammit. I am really trying to give the sig p22x series credit for something, but I am having a tough time.
-
Would it be fair to say that sig popularized it?
-
Question here:
Did SIG invent the design whereby the chamber of a short recoil operated pistol doubles as the locking lug?
Was this introduced with the P220?

You know it's spring when the beast awakens:
Came into work today on 24 pounds of boost and spitting out all 758 horsepower. Low number because the bottle isn't in her yet for summer

That new Wolfenstein game was great! You would think that decades of sneaking up on digital Nazis and stabbing them in the neck would get old, and yet it doesn't.
-
A Mauser, an MG34, and a Type 11 combine, you get Überbeltfedmachinengewehr.

I am so damn tired of Uzi top covers failing, losing components, bending out of spec, causing runaways, etc.
Well I got these in (found a deal, 11 top covers for $100) and I am going to bend them all in spec and toss the ones that are beyond fixing.
Fucking top covers on these guns are the weak link in the design.
The Small Arms Thread, Part 8: 2018; ICSR to be replaced by US Army with interim 15mm Revolver Cannon.
