EnsignExpendable got a reaction from Lord_James in Books About Tanks
The local university had a book sale, so I basically swept up everything with as much as the word "tank" in it off the military history table.
But wait, there's more. Zoom, enhance!
These books bound in red cloth are each worth as much as the rest of that stack combined.
They're official histories of the Canadian army, published only a few years after the war with the backing of the Department of National Defense. As a result they have amazing photographs and maps actually drawn by military cartographers.
And the best part is that since they've been printed 70 years ago, so they're all out of copyright

Israel, a very long time ago.
Judging by the license plate, the blue car on the left was bought between 1966-1968 in the Tel Aviv district, and was new. The tank was captured in 1967 and repainted in the famous white, as tanks in Israeli captivity for display purposes are typically painted in single bright color schemes. e.g there are 3 SU-100 in Israel bunched up together painted in pink, bright blue, and yellow.
As the car is not labeled a collectors car and due to the typical old coloring of the photo, I assume it was taken not very long since 1967, so I guess it's late 60's to late 70's.
EDIT: This could very well it being transported to Jerusalem for the annual military parade.
The IS-3 is known to have taken part in the 1968 parade.

Taking known dimensions from primary sources on the Ram OP and regular Ram I + II to come up with numbers. Hull height is to the highest point at the turret ring, Turret height is to top of periscope over cupola and top of periscope on turret roof. No idea on actual roof height but you could probably make a rough estimation using the known heights, the photo with the turret removed and the measurements from the suspension. Hull width is the side hull cast in bulges, versions with the door in place are wider still. You can see in the photo how the actual overall width is lower everywhere else on the hull.
Question remains if they had measured to the older style periscopes or the newer taller ones.

@whelm I'm finally getting around to publishing the Sexton article (it turned out to be quite huge even for a two-parter, so it took a while). Do you want an acknowledgement, and if so by what name?

A crew from the 16th/5th Lancers, 6th Armored Division, clean the gun barrel of their Crusader tank at El Aroussa in Tunisia, May 1943.

"Secret: T-54 Maus
Advantages:
Firepower The ability to put Maus turrets on T-54s without modification of the turret ring The suspension and turret traverse mechanisms can bear the extra weight Good armour protection Well balanced turret, lots of room for crew Recommendation for modernization in 1952, also in the future when World of Tanks will exist they should get this document and sell this tank for 900 American dollars."

That's not just any old T-34-76, it's a 1942 Stalingrad turret combined with fully rubberized road wheels and an early hull, quite a rarity.

Oh wow, that's a pretty big change. I think I spent too much time looking at the girl.

The Ram makes a long dead bit of my anatomy wiggle. Just so...
Because it is Canadian , but it is not quite ALL Canuck.
I want to hug it, but it says "No you are American!", and I say "But wait, so are you!".
As it waits, I say " And my relatives are Canadian (A lie, as we were chased out by the British)" Thus is the Ram lulled.

LAC's slides look like ass. Here's an image of a prospective Canadian squeezebore weapon, and this is after I cleaned it up.

Another one of Pasholok's books is coming out in English.
According to his LJ post, he doesn't intend on writing any Russian books any time soon, but will focus on working with English writers to fill in gaps in English language works on Soviet armour.
