Waffentrager
On the topic of movies, does anyone have a guess at what the film that is to come out in 2018 is supposed to be about?
SergeantMatt
I hope it's not the inevitable pandering Boba Fett movie. That bitch is being digested in the Sarlacc forever, EU be damned.
Donward
On the topic of movies, does anyone have a guess at what the film that is to come out in 2018 is supposed to be about? If it is anything like how Hollywood does things, it will be a mini-prequel. Now if it wants to be awesome, it will show Darth Vader's early years of enslaving Wookies and hunting down Jedi while retroactively fixing the three prequels by saying "Yeah, most of this shit didn't happen the way that has been portrayed but we're too busy to explain why" and "Hayden who?", nah man, nah, Darth Vader has always been voiced by James Earl Jones and we need to make this movie fast while he's still alive. That's if it wants to be cool and awesome. I hope it's not the inevitable pandering Boba Fett movie. That bitch is being digested in the Sarlacc forever, EU be damned. High five!!! Because that's how Hollywood operates...
SergeantMatt
I kinda want a Tarantino Star Wars movie. No GALACTIC THREAT OF THE WEEK, just a couple of asshole criminals doing asshole criminal things. Only in Star Wars. Sturgeon
I am officially declaring that what Donward says about Star Wars is canon, so far as discussions on SH are concerned. He clearly understands those movies better than y'all do.

I'm hoping for a Pixar-esque heartwarming movie about BB-8 finding true love.
Donward
Nah. Since Rogue Won is a one-off set between the prequels and the original Star Wars, the 2018 movie has to be a one-off set between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. The answer? A gritty reboot of Ewoks: The Battle for Endor!!! Yes. Yes that was Wilfred Brimley you saw. And also the Principal Vernon from The Breakfast Club. Waffentrager
They also called it a 'spinoff'. A gritty reboot of Ewoks: The Battle for Endor!!! Worst "Star Wars" movie I've seen by far.

Sturgeon
Technically, it was a movie... Does that mean it's a part of the cinematic universe?
Waffentrager
Technically, it was a movie... Does that mean it's a part of the cinematic universe? Nope, the only things canon are from whats listed (Graph doesnt include new content thats released the past months); ... and AFAIK Battlefront II is also canon, you know, that 501st story. Vanagandr
As long as we are talking about canon and high quality Star Wars films https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3a5j8PgQxg Because I'm not allowed to post embedded Youtube apparently

Scolopax
The 2018 movie is supposed to be about Han Solo and his backstory and the 2020 film will be the same with Boba Fett. Waffentrager
I'm taking it as this girl is supposed to be a MC of the Rogue One plot? She seems to be the center of the only Rogue One official shots. Looking at the glove similarity, possibly a Mandalorian? Also, the guy in the background possibly Bigg Darklighter prior to his death at Yavin?
EnsignExpendable
I don't see why a huge chump whose only accomplishment is having Vader hand him his bounty gets a movie.
Waffentrager
I don't see why a huge chump whose only accomplishment is having Vader hand him his bounty gets a movie. Besides being one of the largest fan favorites, he does a lot of things in both EU and Canon.
SergeantMatt
I don't see why a huge chump whose only accomplishment is having Vader hand him his bounty gets a movie. Don't forget his excellent fighting skills, like charging in to fight a Jedi in close combat and being knocked into sarlacc pits by a blind guy with a stick. Tied
Yeah, I never understood the Boba Fett fandom. Every comic he shows up in always tends to turn out to be a classic, espically the series illustrated by Cam "based Scott" Kennedy and written by John Wagner really captures the gritty dark humor of star wars universe really well, if not being a little childish.
