  1. You wanna feel like a medieval peasant, go eat at Yoshinoya. I mean, the food's good, but holy hell.
  2. I have some documents regarding Japanese ammunition developments of the 1920s that I need translated. Does anyone speak both Japanese and English, or know anyone else who does?
  3. Oh god it's like the BAe Hawk and the SEPECAT Jaguar had an illicit romance in Sweden...
  4. LCM, a very warm welcome to our little forum here!
  5. Answer me honestly - did you actually read the articles?
  6. It wouldn't have manifested if their leadership had been worth a damn.
  7. Welp, it's basically just gone.
  8. So in trying to change the site's favicon, I managed to expunge the skin we were using, and the header, from existence. The fact that this is even possible is incredibly frustrating, but even worse than that there doesn't seem to be any easy way to undo it. Hooray
  9. I feel you may be attributing to desperation what is actually the result of the basic fallibility of large organizations.
  10. Pardon, but isn't that a bit of a tautology? Vetting people is hard. If it were easy to get discharged for psychosis, a lot more people would be professing to love Hitler to get out.
  11. Much ado is made about war crimes, but few sources actually examine the acts themselves, and the people who commit them. Well, here's one ten-part series that does just that: http://www.breachbangclear.com/war-crimes-hard-choices-and-harder-consequences/ http://www.breachbangclear.com/war-crimes-hard-choices-and-harder-consequences-part-ii/ http://www.breachbangclear.com/war-crimes-hard-choices-and-harder-consequences-part-iii/ http://www.breachbangclear.com/war-crimes-hard-choices-and-harder-consequences-part-iv/ http://www.breachbangclear.com/war-crimes-hard-choices-and-harder-consequences-part-v/ http://www.breachbangclear.com/war-crimes-hard-choices-and-harder-consequences-part-vi/ http://www.breachbangclear.com/war-crimes-hard-choices-and-harder-consequences-part-vii/ http://www.breachbangclear.com/war-crimes-hard-choices-and-harder-consequences-part-viii/ http://www.breachbangclear.com/war-crimes-hard-choices-and-harder-consequences-part-ix/ http://www.breachbangclear.com/war-crimes-hard-choices-and-harder-consequences-the-aftermath/
  12. Slightly less dense than wehraboo skulls.
  13. Texans sometimes think the same thing about y'all, too.
  14. No; I've already explained the distinction, and it has nothing to do with irony.
  15. I don't really find this convincing. The guys using the "SS" flag must be closet Nazis because you once knew some folks who were probably Nazis because they held distasteful views and one of them ended up going to the Citadel? That's pretty thin.
  16. Have you ever considered that the folks with the SS flag did it deliberately to be titillating, rather than that they were serious, actual Nazis? I've met a few folks in that line of work, and I can say that sort of behavior is totally in-character for them. It's like making the devil your mascot. Not "the devil is seriously awesome and we are definitely Satan-worshippers", but "oogey boogey boo!"
