  1. I don't get how they can try calling people fascists when they're the ones resorting to politically motivated violence, intimidation, and general scumbaggery. Assaulting random people on the street who just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time doesn't seem very anti-fascist to me. And here I thought the jump in violence we were supposed to see was from LGBT and minority deathcamps. Seriously though, I can't wrap my head around the idea of why they beat the shit out of someone who literally has done nothing at all. Well, just one more reason for us to accelerate the plan of sinking California into the ocean. I'm so glad that kids at my uni haven't tried anything since the 9th. I don't think the Trump hateboner here is able to reach critical mass
  2. Exaggeration seems to me to be just part of how Trump speaks. I'd try to take what he says less literally while still keeping that in mind. Putting that through my Trump translator, it sounds more to me like he's saying he got some pretty good applause, even by his standards. Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous if you take it at face value, but he didn't get as rich as he did by not embellishing things.
  3. On a similar note, the media doesn't seem to have learned either. As I was leaving dinner earlier, the TV was playing MSNBC, their headline being roughly "BREAKING NEWS: Trump repeats falsehoods at congressional meeting". I know a lot of people who lean Trump partly because of how biased these little shits are getting. What I find funny is I know there's people in California who think the media by and large is biased in favor of Trump, though we did just largely agree that the state needs to sink into the ocean already. I was hoping Trump winning would be a wakeup call for a lot of people, but I guess that's not how their brains have been wired.
  4. He's even a big guy at 6'3" tall something something meme magic is real Germanwings Flight 4U-9525
  5. The full thing of this is about an hour long, but he calls BuzzFeed a "failing pile of garbage" as well. I'm hoping they get Gawker'd
  6. I'm glad to know that despite the election being over, there's still some quality laughs to be had over people managing to fall for this stuff. I'll thoroughly enjoy watching people swallowing shitposts as truth for the next 4 years, seeing as they haven't seemed to have learned any lessons about this yet. Memetic warfare is real, boys
  7. I myself haven't really kept up on all of the latest stuff since I've had to deal with a new semester starting up for me, but I'd hope no one falls for that either. I'd be more concerned if anyone actually believed it in the first place. I do know that /pol/ has made some more convincing stuff, but I'm still a little out of the loop at the moment.
  8. With how so much of the Trump talk lately has had unnamed sources, I'd hope this will teach people to have at least a little skepticism. Everything lately feels like it's supposed to be from a leaked top secret report or some US intelligence agent who wants to share his stuff with the media. I'm going to be headed to bed in a second, but I'm going to see if someone's posted a link to the full version of the "report" somewhere.
  9. I've stopped keeping tabs on /pol/ for Trump drama, but they seem to be having a field day making up ridiculous stuff to see what people will actually report on. Edit for more complete pic. I feel like I'm living in a cartoon.
  10. I won't be able to stop by and look at them again for a while, but I will give it a better look once I get a chance. It is a C version and the serial number tells me it's made in 1903, so that still leaves the possibility that it's a Damascus barrel.
  11. Finally got to see my grandfather's stash of guns. They're in rougher shape than I expected, but that's because I somehow missed the part where my dad and uncle used them a lot too. There's some assorted pellet rifles, break barrel shotguns in .410, 16 gauge, and 12 gauge, what I think is a Colt 1851 revolver in rough shape, a couple Winchester 1897s, a Winchester 1890, and my uncle's 870. The 1897 furthest from my camera has a Damascus sort of thing going on with the barrel too. I didn't pick any up then since I'm back at college now, but I do plan on snatching a 1897 when I get the chance.
  12. I don't know how popular it ended up getting, but #draftourdaughters was from 4chan and a good number of people fell for it. Just need some convincing graphics to go with it and people assume it's official.
  13. I recall seeing that email chain in the leaks and wouldn't be too surprised if this is what the leaks came from. I know I've said it a million times by now, but I'm not even a cyber security person and I could still see them doing a bunch of stuff that you don't want to do. Using the current year for passwords on password-protected files, sending passwords over email and then using that password everywhere, sending their SSNs over email, etc. I was actually lucky enough to find the 4chan thread on this right as they found his password, and within a matter of minutes, they were screwing with his Apple, twitter and bus ticket stuff. His wife's Linkedn was also broken into later the same way. Kinda sucks for them, but can't say I feel very sorry for our boy John. And if all of that was done by people who don't know a thing about hacking, it's no wonder that leaks happened. This sort of comedy really helped keep the election interesting, not that it would have been boring without it.
  14. The weaboo tanks in WT are probably going to break my WT tanks hiatus. It works out well that the only Jap tanks I'm interested with in the first place are low tiers. It's a shame that the 120mm derp Chi Ha is a pre order tank though. Also funny is gaijin doing as bad on the STA-2 and STA-2 as WG did with the FV 4202. The driver's hatch on the STA-1 is near the size of the turret roof and the turret on the STA-2 is so small that it doesn't use any of the hull hanging over the tracks.
  15. Finally got to go to the local gun show, which would be the second time for me. I've always got the misfortune of being out of town when they happen. Anyways, usually all I have to look at in person are junky bubba'd bolt actions, so gun shows are really the only time I have to look at and talk about guns that aren't modern handguns or hunting rifles. A guy there had a Russian Makarov, and I can confirm that I like how they felt in my hands. They also had a Polish TT-33, and I'm liking those guns a lot more now that I got to actually hold one, though I dunno if it's enough to make me get one instead of a Makarov. I guess if anyone here owns a Tokarev, I wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on the thing. They're certainly easier and cheaper to find online than the Bulgarian Makarov. It looks a lot like the Colt model 1903, and old Colt semi autos are another sort of gun that I really like the looks of. In regards to stuff that's out of my budget and all that, I now have a thing for the Astra 600. I don't know how good of guns those are, but it felt perfect in my hands, plus it's got that awkward old semi auto pistol look that I like. Some chill old dude also had a MAS 36 in near perfect condition for $410. I can see why people like the thing. Despite looking like a brick, the thing is actually quite nice to hold. If I had $410 to throw around then, I would have grabbed it. Those little peephole sights work better than I imagined too. Only other thing of note that I can recall at the moment was some guy desperately trying to get me to buy his K31. There were also used Russian Mosins going for not much less than my M39. This thread is now my blog
