  1. Speaking of clubbing, I just went on a 12 kill rampage in my T-35 and won the game as a result.
  2. Declassified U.S. report on the CW attack, talks about how they know the Syrian regime did it. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/04/11/world/middleeast/document-Syria-Chemical-Weapons-Report-White-House.html?_r=1
  3. http://time.com/4735470/donald-trump-syria-war-bashar-al-assad/ Trump says we're not going to Syria
  4. tl;dr the T20 is just an M18 that loses a bit of the excess mobility and HVAP in exchange for usable armor and a stabilizer. M18 is a bit more mobile and gets HVAP, but otherwise I find the T20 to just be better. Even then, the T20 is still a hair more mobile than a T-34 and also reverses at 18 km/h (vs the 23 km/h of the Hellcat), so it's not too bad either. I've not died enough in the T20 to give you a good answer, but I suspect getting penned in this would not be so fun, seeing as the ammo layout is kinda shit. The T20 in exchange gets real armor, stuff you can actually use. The complete absence of armor on the M18 can really limit your options at times, both with the open turret and inability to bounce anything. The hull armor on the thing is pretty reliable against lower tier vehicles, but when used properly can bounce scarier things. Unlike the Shermans, it's enough armor that I feel comfortable playing more aggresively or baiting shots. The T20 also holds nearly twice as much ammo too if that matters for you. Another huge advantage is that the T20 has stabilizers, nullifying what I find to be one of the Hellcat's main weaknesses (how much the gun sways during movement and stopping). The combination of armor, reverse speed, and stabilizers make this thing near unstoppable as a ridge sniper. Username there is the same as here and WoT
  5. I got it for half off, so I was thinking the thing was 1,500 gold. So it's not as cheap as I remembered, but still not going to break the bank. Granted the Ram II is the only other premium I've had for such a short span of time, but I'd consider this to be perhaps the best premium to get with gold. Nice tier for farming dosh (not an issue for me), not a clone of an existing tank, and at a strong BR for that nation. I know a lot of people hate US 5.0 since you get stuck fighting T-34-85s and are often uptiered, but it's never bothered me. I may as well list off some others while I'm at it, but it we're talking purely lols, the ZUT-37 and NbFz are both excellent. The NbFz is the best 1.3 seal clubber, and is in the nation that hosts the best normal 1.3 seal clubbers IMO. The ZUT-37 is just fun with that 37mm autocannon, though I'm unsure of how much the hull break mechanics have hurt it. T-44-122 I'm a huge fan of as well, though I know many dislike the awful reload speed. Of course there's other excellent premium tanks out there, but those are either from grindfest marathons or straight from your wallet. Normal premiums you can just get through golden battle wagers.
  6. I'm too lazy to write it. I barely play WoT these days, but both this and adding the Object 252 have upset me a lot more than they should have, the lights probably having a bigger impact if it hits live like this. Object 252 shits on balance in tier 8, but you can play other tiers than that. It's a premium too, so WG won't touch it. I also highly recommend the T20 in WT if you're looking for a premium tank. OP, American, fun to play, and relatively cheap. About as expensive as a tier 5 premium in WoT. Think of a Hellcat, but with better armor than a Sherman. The thing is silly.
  7. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of clickbait we get fed over this stuff. Posting thumbnails so they get no clicks. lashing out = sending us yet another strongly worded letter. They make it sound like we've got missiles in the air or something In an alternative universe where we didn't send ships there: "Trump's lack of action towards North Korea shows that he is afraid of politics outside of twitter"
  8. I would have just called it the Leo or leopard, but there's two other leopards ingame and there's now a tank the game called a leo too.
  9. Correct, it's going from light to medium. I believe the Crusader is going from light to medium too, meaning it loses the on the move camo in exchange for nothing. stronk balance)))) There's also little reason to play the M7 when you can just run the VK 16.01 and get better DPM and gun handling.
  10. They're making it one, because fuck you Comparing the old M7 to the new, new one gets better acceleration (25.7 hp/ton vs 19.7) and all around better gun handling for th e6 pounder, but a 0.7 second slower reload on the 6 pounder and 90hp less. View range is nerfed(!) from 380m to 360m, because light tanks need to be able to scout :^) For the 75mm (comparing the M2 on old to the M3 on new), reload is a whole second longer, gun handling is a mixed bag of better hull dispersion but worse turret dispersion, but you at least get non-shit base accuracy.
  11. I don't know if there's any one place that lists the changes, but for mid tiers its not all nerfs. All premium lights were buffed (better MM + vert stabs). At tier 5, I think the leo should be pretty great still (normal tier 5 tank MM), but the american tier 5 lights (chaffee and M7) are torn a new one. lol 1.3k dpm tanks.gg has all the fancy stats for the tanks. There's a little bar at the top of the site where you can switch between 9.17.1 and 9.18 test.
  12. Somewhat on the subject, and I know I'm a few months late, but UN Peace Council's remarks on Syria, December 9th of last year. Full version is nearly an hour if anyone wants to dig that up.
  13. Pictures of this one crater from different angles is all I've seen
  14. 400lb hackers release NSA goodies in protest of Trump's actions in Syria. Wikileaks seems to have been busy today and published some other stuff earlier today too.
  15. Pretty hilarious and sad what WG's done to LTs in the most recent test server update. They were looking more or less where they needed to be in the last one. Now, they get big nerfs to pen, view range, and ammo count on a lot of them. As an example, the M41's autoloader goes from 10 shells to 6, but the drum reload stays the same. The T-100's ammo count goes from 42 to 33 while also having dmg nerfed from 320 to 300. The T-100 now also has even worse accuracy, as well as thinner armor and worse view range than the soviet tier 10 mediums. Other tier 10 lights are similarly murder-raped. Instead of buffing the M5 Stuart, they just nerfed every non-premium light instead :^) Meanwhile, gajiin's given my T20 stabilizers and a .50, so that's cool I guess.
  16. Guys, this is all just one big trick and we're all falling for it. Trump is still a Putin Pawn.
  17. The other reserves that Saudi Arabia is dipping dangerously low in are their aquifers. A lot of those are already bone dry. I guess this is why we've got Looser, but guessing it means Russia has ceased military talks/collaboration in Syria with the US. https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=751_1491549371 Liveleak thing claiming gas used in the attack was phosphine, something that I imagine would be much easier to find than sarin gas.
  18. I'll get a good chance to ask about the vice on Monday, since bolting it down would save myself the trouble of getting that all filed down just right. Tabs sounds like the safest bet since I wouldn't need to worry about finding some stuff to keep everything snug and in place, so I'll go with whichever I decide would be less annoying to deal with. I've already ordered my little bar of aluminum, so working on an extra thick piece is out of the question now. The idea did cross my mind before, but that would be extra money I don't need to spend. As for the chamfer tool, that's another thing I'd need to ask about. I know that I don't have that available for me at the moment, but I could probably either buy the thing myself or get the uni to get one. Pic below is what I've got to play with, mostly just a bunch of flat and ball endmills. I know we have all sorts of drill bits laying around that I used last semester on just an oldschool vertical mill, so I probably have a few more drill bits than just the one listed below. Not entirely relevant to this all either, but I'll get to measure the stock a week sooner than I thought, which is good for me since April is my last month of classes before finals and summer break.
  19. This guy seems to have come to the same conclusion
  20. http://www.cnbc.com/2017/04/06/the-us-warned-the-russians-ahead-of-syria-missile-strikes-official.html Russia was apparently warned that the missiles were being launched
  21. I sincerly hope this is fake seeing who it's coming from, but it's kinda a big deal if true.
  22. I've not looked much into it myself yet, but I've been getting sent stuff that at least puts up a decent enough case that the alleged sarin attack could have been a false flag or something like that. Either way, I don't like that it looks like the US is planning on turning this into another Iraq or Libya for us. And just a couple pics for the thing on white helmet safety measures since I know one of those youtube vids is deleted.
  23. Still messing around with how exactly it'll look, but I think I'll take advantage of the CNC mill we've got here at uni and make the replacement buttplate from aluminum. Metalworking is something I'm still pretty new to, so I'm trying to figure out how I could get this done. Due to it being elliptical in shape, a vice wouldn't hold it in place very well. I figure what would likely work best is machining the outline of the piece out, but keeping a few tabs here and there so it's still attached to the stock material (and thus, the vice). Later, I could just machine those bits out and remove what's left by hand. Wanting to just make sure this sounds plausible before I get too far into this. Plan B is just to bolt it onto something else that I'll put in a vice since I'm drilling a couple holes in this anyways. We've not got anything for knurling here, so I'll probably just give it a smooth surface or something, or perhaps just thin horizontal lines. Below is just the tab idea mocked up in 3ds max (ignore that checkering pattern, won't be what I give it).
