they don't - explicitly.  It about overall system lethality.  Will try and dig the reqs out.

By the looks of the commander's sight, it seems to be prepared to act as MSSA (main sensor slaved armament):

Unfortunately, the Stryker is the platform in consideration. Would be a VERY bad idea... Not just the chassis. I think the whole IM-SHORAD is a mess. Jack of all trades, master of none. Almost if the designers would have no idea about the real purpose of the system, just different weapons cobbled together.
Well, this is one of the disadvantages of NATO membership. Russia has the exact AA system we need, the Pantsir, and we arent allowed to buy it.

Not that it would change anything on what you wanted to say, just  alittle nitpicking from my side. Most of the ATGMs are much slower than 300 m/s so the system must be able to detect and track slower threads (I would put it rather to +/- 100 m/s and above - Malyutka has speed around 100 m/s).

so, here's KF41 close to one of them M113 versions instead

Also if we go back to the AI driver I think that first it will be implemented as working just in a "follow the leader" mode and only for the auxiliary vehicles as Looser pointed out (feeding ammo and other supplies seems to be the first candidate for an automated task).

It will take a very long time for the AI to reliably solve many tasks which are quite simple for the humans - such as "Can I go through that green fence?" or "Will that ancient wall made of laid stones stop my tank?"

It is needed, i didn't pulled this argument out of nowhere, this is was said directly by one of researches in neural network AI systems (SEED, an EA R&D department), he told that this is one of major hindrance for NN AI development. And this is a problem for everyone who works in that field, including military.
Trying to make an AI system without theoretical foundation is like trying to design a gun without ability to do calculations of weapon parts stress, pressure, impulse, etc. You can make something that kind of shoots most of the time, but if you are going to be given a task to design a gun that weights X kg, have XYZ dimensions, have certain ROF, catridge, groups/accuracy requirments, you will have a very hard time to meet those requirements.

I bet that in this decade there is no self-driving MBT except for maybe very special cases used in extremely risky situations (optionally manned vehicle used without the crew in urban combat could be a possibility). But even in such cases I think that they will be rather driven by a driver sitting outside the vehicle and not by AI.

Before the AI is mastered in the air I seriously can't see any chance of success on the ground. The air is waaaaay easier to solve and we are not yet in the point where AI is able of more than very simple tasks in a completely free environment.

We also agreed upon the place of the factory, near Zalaegerszeg (western part of the country). Additionally, it will include an R&D department too. The whole complex will create about 500 jobs, total cost will be around 168,000,000 EUR.

The 2 are not mutually incompatible,  added boost to achieve required power rating combined with new emissions verifications is probably sufficient to consider it a new engine, even if it is 95%+ common by parts

Maybe me knowledge will suffice as well.

This is the VT-001 (Versuchsträger) prototype of the Marder 2 vehicle.
With the introduction of the Leopard 2 there was a need for a new IFV that could keep up with the MBT, both from a mobility and technology standpoint. The German army then put the „Kampfwagen 90“ to life. The requirements were then given to the manufacturers (KMW main contractor) to come up with an offer. Main requirements were for the vehicle to carry at least 7 grenadiers and to protect them against 30mm AP(DS) munitions on the frontal arc.

In theory the armor concept was to be modular, but due to the heavy weight (44t) this was wishful thinking. The armor made the vehicle immune to 14.5mm AP all around, with the already mentioned 30mm protection on the front. It also had a spall liner.

The main armament (found in the rather cramped 2 man turret) was the Rh503 35mm external propulsion gun.

An innovative concept with quite a lot of firepower for its time (even upgradeable to 50mm if the need arises) with then newly developed Oerlikon APFSDS rounds and just like the modern Puma it had a programmable HE round against infantry. While the Marder 2 for some reason had no anti tank missiles, a major upside compared to the Marder 1 was that the gun now was fully stabilized.

Powering the Marder 2 was carried out by the 1000hp MTU Ka-500 from the Pzh2000 and the same gearbox from Renk which is also used on the SPH. The propulsion allowed for top speed of 60km/h (which produced an unpleasant sound for the passengers). In contrast to the Puma the Marder 2 relied on a torsion bar suspension system.

The fire control computer was a modified version of the ATLAS FLT2 found on the Leopard 2.
The gunner was supposed to use the PERI-ZTWL sight, which was very similar to the EMES-15 (Both with the same daylight cameras and WBG-X thermal imager).
The commander had the PERI-RT 60 periscopic daysight (No dedicated thermal imager, just access to the gunners view).

While the vehicle was technically ready for mass production, the end of the Cold War (like so often) ultimately was the reason for the cancellation of the program.

The only existing prototype now is displayed at the WTS Koblenz. A disappointing end to a maybe overweight and simple, yet very powerful and (in contrast to Puma) maintainable machine.

I hope i was able to portrait it in an interesting manner, if there are still questions about the vehicle that i cannot answer, i can ask a curator at the WTS

Yes, and the TU article I posted earlier in this thread claims they’re already snapping more frequently than they should on a vehicle that is just 5 tonnes heavier than the CV9030NF1, so there is definitely reason to be sceptical. Granted, it’s also possible that the Norwegian tracks were ones that were ordered years ago, and as such, might not give the correct impression of how durable those on the Redback are. So, one shouldn’t approach this without an open mind either.

These vehicles are not little! Not a surprise, sure, but vehicles from both OEMs are tall enough that they qualify for PPE “working at height” workplace safety legislation.

Agree about using existing technology for the evaluation, but pointing out for future growth, this tech's progression is open ended not closed ended.

Also, has reservations that a cold country track maker will choose the right compound for a hot country
