It's like the Romanian ABC-79M but cursed.

It's a battle bus if I've ever seen one, that's for sure.

So straight from the Kawachi to the Ise then?
It also seems that the Baltimore is getting locked into being an event-only vessel. Because that also makes sense.

I wondered if it was a matter of manufacturing something domestically, either of foreign license or native design, but I believe all the other AA systems used at the time were purchased directly from Russia. Worth noting that these (Strela, Osa, and Kub for example) are all missile systems though.

The USS Shaw, a Mahan-class destroyer, was the victim of a catastrophic magazine explosion that was famously captured in a photo during the Pearl Harbor attack.
While her bow and bridge superstructure were lost as a result of the blast, her presence in drydock meant she was still able to be salvaged and refloated in due time.
Shaw was later rebuilt and went on to actively serve in the Pacific throughout the remainder of the war.

Question: Couldn't the T-15 with that Bulat 57mm turret fulfill basically the same role as the whole BMPT concept and more?
57mm offers much better accuracy and suppression than those awful twin 30s at least, it's armor protection should be even better, and a dismounted squad of infantry offers way better situationan awareness and can cover more zones of fire than any one vehicle, instead of trying to do that whole multi-turret/hull mounted emplacements thing that was already proven to be a bad idea almost a century ago.
Because really, who would want to operate tanks in a city without infantry support?
...
This is the same thinking I have. I do not claim any real expertise in my opinions though.
Related to the topic, I didn't realize before that there were two Object 781's produced, with slightly different armament. One has a turreted MG in place of one of the sponson grenade launchers.

Otherwise, its not a good idea. 2A72 is horribly inaccurate, except for single shots.
Which is why I suggested it as a joke, hence the /s sarcasm tag. Guide rails sound like they would help, but I think we both agree that something greater than two 30mms would be more desirable.

Huh, I don't think I've notice until you mention it that the muzzle brakes aren't off-angle from each other.
They should swap the 2A42s for 2A72s and see how much that helps. /s

What this has to do with pl-01.
Was a quip at the general appearance of both vehicles being very similar.

I am not sure if it is ordinary btr60 thats why.
It would seem to be a modern command version from what I can tell.

Are you sure? The apparent size seems right for a 122mm. To me, it looks similar to the 2A18 on the 2S1 Gvozdika, but North Korea doesn't have any of those and the entire mounting is obviously different. I would think that the Norks might realize an 85mm gun might be a bit small for such a fire support vehicle by today's standards.

What would be the rationale for using (buying or borrowing?) K9s in Korea over the M109s that are in use besides maybe some slight logistical ease? I wasn't aware of any interest by the US army of pursuing the K9 for any future use, not with the XM1299 in development.

I forget, was the thing supposed to go ashore (near) there, or did it break away while being towed and beach itself?
-
Some strangely American-like designs there. The tank appears like the offspring of some scandalous encounter between an Abrams and a T-14.

Does anyone know anymore then this video about this system? Google search leads to nothing
This seems to be the prototype of the system that would go on to become Goalkeeper and find use in the Dutch navy. I don't have much of anything else beyond that, but I suppose some digging into the history of Goalkeeper could give you more.

Certainly doesn't seem like it at a glance, but if you look at a larger photo (see below), you can make out the gas holes in the barrel where the bore evacuator used to be. The number and position of 'rings' around the barrel also matches the 2a46. I imagine there's probably been plenty a derelict T-64/72/80 to pull one out of. Why it was inserted in place of the 122mm or 152mm, I'd say that's up to imagination.

I haven't watched the entirety of this one. I did see The Critical Drinker's response vid, which seemed to cover most everything but was much shorter, so I'm curious what the hackfrauds had to talk about for so long.
