  1. They are locking up internet trolls, activists and comedians. They are fully subjects to their government now. Very third world of them.
  2. And how the mainstream media gobbled it right up.
  3. Nice, Simpson Harbor, I wonder what its like to SCUBA, or if the Volcana eruptions ruined it.
  4. The Des Moines was 23,000 tons of steal throwing death Machine! Maybe the coolest cruiser class ever made.
  5. They are ok, cause Mythbusters said people being hurt by flying broken wire ropes is a myth!
  6. We have a storm coming in right now, that the weather weenies are saying is going to drop 6 to 8 FEET of snow in the Sierra Nevadas! That's crazy for a California Storm.
  7. That sucks. I once took an 84 Blazer in for an alignment, it wandered and the steering was sloppy, steering box was not broke out of the frame and the rage joint was good. The guy doing the work was a pal I grew up with and did stuff at cost, so I knew I wasn't getting ripped off. He calls, and said, it would align, to much wheel play, maybe the wheel bearings were shot. I say whatever, just let me know, he calls me back and says, it needs wheel bearings, and HUBS, because the wheel bearings had not been serviced, and the races were loose in the hubs. The guy I bought it from thought maintenance meant fixing it when it broke... Anyway, I helped put it all back together when I got off work, and luckily the auto locking hubs were in like new condition, lol and went right in and I never once had a problem with them. I traded an AR-15 for this thing, so it was still a good deal, but it had other lack of maintenance woes I had to fix, and ultimately lead to its demise. The funniest thing about the truck is the previous owner was like 6,3 350, and had bent the seat frame back. I got in the back seat and bent it back into place, but the frame was weakened and over time it would slowly tilt back. So I cut a 2 by 4 to fit and wedged it into the back seat. I had class back then.
  8. Yeah, that kind of work is no fun in the winter for sure, paying other people to shitty stuff is how the world works!
  9. Opioids are killing far more Americans than guns used in crime. I mean sure, we should be concerned about the Democrat voter base robbing, raping, and murdering people while their politicians try and take law abiding citizens right to defend themselves from said Democrat Voter vase away, but nothing being proposed by either side will have any real effect gun crime. We should all take a step back, and take a real look at our heart health, and get some fucking exercise, because heart disease, not guns is what's going to kill us.
  10. So basically gun crime is a non-issue, but the Press hates guns, and will never report honestly on the issue...
  11. I've done front end stuff, I had to have the ball joints and upper and lower control arms pressed at a machine shop though. It's dirty work and can result in crushed fingers or worse if you have a coil spring in there. GM A-body suspension from the 60s is pretty basic stuff though.
  12. Lol we should spam the steel beasts forums with docs with "SECRET " added just to fuck with this idiot. Imagine being the guy up the chain of command the moron reports too.
  13. Probably, this is a really famous 1st AD tank the Germans captured in Tunis, if you look close you can see markings were they put the armor thickness numbers on the hull in various spots. Yeah. Interesting, I think that's the cutaway tank in one of the museums, are they restoring it or something, it seems like the older pics I've seen everything is in better shape.
  14. The gunless Phantoms are so much prettier than the horrible looking Air Force birds.
  15. I've heard similar things from other sources, basically my understanding is the Cummins, (thanks for the page corrections, I fix them ASAP) doesn't make power at a low enough RPM so at low speed, the engine is struggling the extra load from the steering brakes stalls it out. Maybe Meplat knows more, I could have it wrong too.
  16. One advantage the Sherman has is that tranny, dif, and final drivers are not connected directly to the motor, so anything that fits and makes around 500 HP would work, but for it to work well, it needs to be making full torque and HP at no more than 2500 RPM and the lower the RPM the better.
  17. Sell them on the collector market, buy real tanks with proceeds!
  18. I always thought this would make a great contest, but I'm a bit biased I suppose. It could be up-gunned, and you can stuff modern radios and sights, but the armor is pretty hopeless, though I suppose you could cover it in ERA.
