Azeri army controlled area after Shushi was taken and before agreement was signed. Not much of towns and cities were left to take. Khojavend would have been cut off in several days after Shushi capture, Stepanakert could have been shelled from Shushi with 120 mm mortars quite easily, it was under danger of being taken in next week.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan concealed the losses of the Armenian army in Nagorno-Karabakh so that society would not understand the scale of the tragedy. Former Armenian Ambassador to Vatican Mikael Minasyan made such a statement on his Facebook page.

“Nikol Pashinyan turned the deaths of soldiers into very meager lists, publishing several dozen names every day. As a result, we lost the sharpness of perception of death, we did not understand what price we paid for each day of the war, ”he wrote. According to him, a few days ago the SNB and the Armenian Defense Ministry informed Nikol Pashinyan about 4,750 confirmed cases of the death of Armenian soldiers.

Ministry of Health of Armenia reports on more than 2300 killed in war in Karabakh The message of Facebook user Mikael Minasyan that the Armenian side allegedly lost 4,750 people during the last Artsakh war is not true, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Health said.

To date, the forensic medical service has examined the corpses of 2,317 dead servicemen, including unidentified ones. The process of exchanging the bodies of dead soldiers has just begun, the conflicting parties cannot know the final number of those killed, the department noted.

2300+ is almost 2 times more than what was last reported by MoD.
