Some more stuff from MSPO 2022. Nothing new but it's good to get more angles of what we've already seen in the past.

Laser Shark reacted to Żółć in Polish Armoured Vehicles
Long time no see. Today, the Polish MoD signed a contract for 341 ZSSW-30 turrets. The first production batch is composed of 70x ZSSW-30 turrets, which are to be fitted to Rosomak wheeled IFVs. The batches to follow are meant to incorporate upgrades/modifications based on feedback from the armed forces. Contract for the 70x turrets is worth around 367 mln. $

K2NO model at Eurosatory. RWS is now in front of the commander instead of behind him, and we also get a better look at the new armour package. The mid section of the hull front is much slimmer on this model too, so maybe some armor/weight was shaved off here in order to add it elsewhere?

Laser Shark reacted to Alzoc in General artillery, SPGs, MLRS and long range ATGMs thread.
Arquus, Thales and NTGS proposing a Sherpa Light carrying a 120 mm (or 81 mm) mortar :
https://www.forcesoperations.com/eurosatory-2022-un-trio-franco-espagnol-pour-un-sherpa-shoot-and-scoot/
30s to enter or leave battery 4 to 6 shells fired within 2 minutes with a range of 13 km Automatic gun laying and calculations Firing sequence under armor except for loading (only one person outside?) 40 120 mm shells onboard (more in the 81 mm version) Goal is obviously to minimize exposure time and risks of counter battery.
Will probably be marketed to Romania.
First demonstration expected around September.

Lithuania's defence minister will sign a letter of intention for the acquisition of an unspecified number of Caesar SPG.

Lithuanian press also report a possible adhesion to the Caesar NG modernization program.
According to the Lithuanian chief of staff, it would be for equipping the entirety of the general Motiejus Pečiulionis brigade (actually using 54 105 mm M101 transferred from Danemark in 2002).
The chief of staff also hope for a deployment of French Caesar (within the frame of a NATO deployement) in Lithuania in order to start preparing Lithuanian soldiers to use the system.
As a reminder Lithuania also operate 21 PzH 2000.

Yeah, I never quite understood the hype surrounding light tanks based on IFV hulls. if you want a tank in the 40-50 tonnes range, there are modernized T-72s, and the Type-10 looks like the better Western option. If you want an actual proper light tank, there is BAE’s MPF proposal and Sprut-SD/SDM1. If you want your tanks and IFVs to be on the same chassis, you either go heavy or you go home imo. The medium weight concept is not going to work out very well (this concept was looked at by the Norwegian Army a few years ago, and ultimately rejected in favour of acquiring new MBTs).

Laser Shark got a reaction from Collimatrix in StuG III Thread (and also other German vehicles I guess)
There was an interesting thread by Ronkainen on Twitter that looked into the support capabilities (trailers, bridging, recovery etc.) that US Army Infantry Divisions would need to operate the two MPF candidates, but unfortunately I can’t seem to dig it up because I don’t have (never had) a Twitter profile. Anyway, the gist of it was that the equipment required to support BAE’s candidate already existed in these divisions (if not in the quantities necessary), while for GD’s candidate it would have to be beefed up substantially, and to a point where it started to resemble that of an Abrams unit.
Edit: I finally found it

Laser Shark reacted to Alzoc in General AFV Thread
A small nuance on that point.
Recent AFV sale contracts often include maintenance support by the manufacturer for a set number of years.
Some older contracts simply included a stock of spare parts delivered at the same time as the vehicles and the clients was responsible for maintenance.
So that a vehicle is still in service doesn't mean that spare parts are still being produced, it could be simply using stock or a cannibalization of existing vehicle.
If I take France for example, we could technically give the Ukrainians VAB or even AMX-10P. The first is being phased out and replaced by the Griffon and the Serval and the second is in reserve and only used by the OPFOR for training purposes. There is no spare parts production for the 10P anymore and as for the VAB (which is technically still in service) only some of the parts are still being produced, not all of them.
On top of that those vehicle haven't any operational potential left and so are in very poor shape.

Yep. It looks like they'll get some T-72M1s and BMP-1s (including ex-Swedish Pbv 501s, but they're not seen on the train below), as well as Bushmasters from Australia.
