  1. Another two Armenian T-72 taken out by Bayraktar TB2 drones.
  2. Bodies of dead Azeri soldiers in the posession of Armenia after night counter attack. Very graphic. Bayraktar TB2 strike on Armenian T-72. Another OSA and loader vehicle targetted by Bayraktar TB2. Pieces of some Azeri drone being collected by civilians. Alleged Azeri TOS-1 in action. May be recycled training footage, I don't know. Armenia feels confident not to ask CSTO support. Azeri combat footage.
  3. That's not true at all. Simple physics tells you that the weight is mainly driven by the internal turret volume. No need for space for the crew -> very little volume to be covered by armor -> very little overall armour volume -> much less weight. Today the three man tank turret weight is usually over 20 tons. There is no reason at all why the unmanned turret shall have such weright. Realistically it can have less than half of that and most likely even less. It means that by its sole existence it saves 10+ tons of the vehicle weight.
  4. More Azeri vehicles taken out. Some massive explosions after Azeri strikes seen from Bayraktar TB2.
  5. Armenia is part of CSTO so this time Russia is somewhat obliged to act. It will be intresting... Armenian MoD now addmits 16 dead and 100+ injured soldiers so far today. They also claim that Azeris are using long range MLRS Polonez, T-300 and Smerch. Another Bayraktar TB2 strike footage. Alleged Azeri drone shot down.
  6. Bayraktar TB2 footage striking Armenian Osa systems. Allegedly Syrian gangs on Azeri side (there were rumors of them being transported to Azerbaijan by Turkey for weeks). Meanwhile at least one VKS An-124 landed in Yerevan and at least one another Il-76 departed Rostov en route to Armenia.
  7. Armenian reinforcements rolling to the front. EDIT Azeri MOD claims to take some territory.
  8. Massive fighting started along most of the Nagorno Karabakh border. The situation looks very serious as both Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia declared martial law and started general mobilisation. So far we have a looot of footage of destroyed Azeri armor and alleged wreck of an Azeri helicopter. In the morning Armenia admited 10 fallen soldiers. Azerbaijan claims it destroyed many OSA AA systems. Armenia claims (besides of the clear footage) to shot down another helicopter nad three UAVs.
  9. Belarus Source: https://www.armyrecognition.com/defense_news_september_2020_global_security_army_industry/belarusian_army_test_combat_trike.html
  10. The news about the UAF An-26 (76 yellow) now state that 26 died (21 of them kadets from Ivan Kozhedub Air Force University), one kadet survived and is in stable condition and concious. The alleged 28th person didn't make it on board for some reason. The probable cause of the crash is stated to be a left engine failure. Allegedly the one that survived was one of two who jumped out of the plane shortly before it impacted the ground.
  11. According to unconfirmed rumors each battery shall be equipped with another EL/M-2084 radar. The deal shall cover also an option for future purchase of another four batteries for the same price.
  12. Spectacular volley of Iskander and Smerch missiles during Kavkaz-20 excercise.
  13. Some Iranian wheeled IFV with BMP-2 turret. Side door like in BTR variants.
  14. UAF An-26 with 28 crewmembers and soldiers on board crashed near the Chuchuiv airbase west of Kharkiv. According to the reports 22 died, 2 are in critical condition and 4 remain missing atm. In other news Serbian MiG-21UM crashed and nearly hit civilian houses. At least one pilot died.
  15. Pardon for a purely hypothetical question. In theory if some state (let's say a NATO country with good relations with US) wished to have the Izraeli Adir version and Izrael would agree, would US block it out of principle anyway? I mean is that a completely sci-fi scenario?
  16. Czech MOD selected Spyder-MR as the new AD system replacing the old (albeit somewhat modernized) 2K12 Kub. MOD will buy four batteries installed on Tatra 815-7 vehicles. It's quite a logical selection after the purchase of the Elta EL/M-2084 MADR radars and considering the already existing integration of the system for Tatra vehicles. https://www.idnes.cz/zpravy/nato/rafael-kub-obrana-armada-izrael-rakety-protivzdusna-metnar.A200925_111038_zpr_nato_inc
  17. Appearantly the lost aircraft was not a Su-30SM but a combat-trainer Su-30M2.
  18. Well, I see very few advantages of the crew being all in the turret compared to the crew being all in the hull (if we compare only these two options). Quite the opposite. The second brings much higher crew survivability, smaller, lighter and simpler vehicle, easier to repair (for example by replacing the whole turret module) and with for sure better driving performance. There are very few advantages of the crew-in-the-turret concept which IMHO can not outweight the disadvantages.
  19. Another small change is the armoured door on the sights.
  20. By having proportionally more weight on the turret compared to the hull you definitely create whole lot of issues with weight balance and driving, especially off-road, performance.
  21. Serial definition of Karrar? There are some modifications compared to the previous pictures.
