  1. Taliban captured 9th provincial capital (Fayzabad) and also two military airports (Kunduz and Sheberghan) with plenty of machinery including several (some possibly working) helicopters, among them at least one Mi-24V (ex-Belarus, ex-India). There are rumors some pilot(s) defected.

Several other major cities are being fought for (Laskar Gah, Kandahar, Ghazni, Mazar-i-Sharif, Herat)

It could have been shot down also by SAA. There is this footage from Aleppo area from the very same day. Pro-SAA sources first claimed it was TAI Anka, later switched to MQ-4C Triton (WTF?) but no wreckage was shown.

Camera quickly moved to other vehicle, so only this quality is avaliable. Not much place left for Sprut light tank.

The up-armored front is also interesting when normal BMD-4M don't have it.

  4. Czech army held recently an interesting excercise using Vera-NG passive tracking systems. The excercise focused on tracking systems using continuous wave communication signals. According to military spokesman the system was able to detect and track various UAS up to micro-sized drones at ranges of dozens of kilometers through the whole flight right from the take-off. The system was able to distinguish two UAS flying side by side as well. They say they also proved to be able to detect and track various other signal sources such as Tahles Squire battlefield surveilance radar or Mi-171Š radio altimeter.

  5. A new detail about Czech Spyder acquisition. The number of batteries is four as already announced but now we know that each battery is going to have three Python-5 launchers and one Derby launcher together with one Elta EL/M-2084 radar. The complete system will be mounted on Tatra 815-7 vehicles but that's hardly a surprise (moreover when Spyder was already addapted for Tatra chassis in India).

Sukhoi is the only game in town if this budget cut gen 5 for export is any good. ,Mig can close down its Mig 35 /29 operation

It won't take less than ten-fifteen years before it will be operational.

Relax guys. I do honestly think that it is something good for NATO and Europe as well.

It is a clear statement towards Baltics and all neighbours and a clear message towards Russia.

Doesn't't matter if EU partly paid for this (including myself) or not.

Actually it's also a message to Germany.

  8. Not only that. Besides the unit rotations the US Army is also building an Army Prepositioned Stock-2 in Powidz in central Poland (next to a Polish AF transport airbase). This storrage base shall permanently house 82 Abrams, 130 Bradley and 16 Paladins.
