  1. It's a late production, small hatch M4A2. Did they crimp the barrel like that to demill it or was it a range target or something? It seems to be one of the tanks with casting marks for foundries that for some reason put marks for other foundries on the parts they made... Ill get into this more later, I'm still looking the pics over and catching up on teh forums.
  2. The loader on the Sherman had a rotating periscope as well.
  3. Here's a pic from a M4A2 I read about on Tank and AFV News Edit, after finding better pics, this is an M4A3. This pic got me curious, it's a very early direct vision Sherman. This made me doubt it would be an M4A2, since most went to the Brits and Russians. It would be interesting to see the history on the tank. Pics from behind confirm it's a A2, you can never trust placards or news stories. You can just see the top of the DV port behind the welded plates on the drivers hoods. You can also see it only got one side of the weld on mantlet extension and the Co-ax side is still bare. So this tank got some of the armor updates but not all, making it seem more likely it was a ZI training tank. Edit: On closer examination, it's not a DV tank, and has the hoods that had it cast out and a periscope mount put in. Still a early production tank unless a slightly later turret was swapped on at some point.
  4. M is good for many thinks, tanks, guns, knives, etc! M is good!!!
  5. It was part of a standard upgrade kit, it had a name, I'll remember at some point, and just about all the tanks used in Normandy got it in england, and it was put on at the factory on mid production tanks. The cheek armor on the turret and the plates over the hull ammo boxes were part of the upgrade I think. I think the tank is a mid production M4, and probably had all the upgrades installed at the factory.
  6. So I found a nice mod pack, it has like 20 cross hair choices, some look like they change the perspective, maybe giving you a better view off how the ship is turning? Is that a legal mod? I haven't played much this week really, most of my work week was 10 plus hour days, and it's hard to stay awake let alone play boats. I'm trying tonight though, well l'm in WOT right now playing my Japanese Tiger!
  7. This was like one of my favorite movies growing up. I have probably watched it 300 times, this and Starwars got me through several summers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3Q8oM_AnK8
  8. I think we got us a peanut hippie here guys, and he's from Texas1!
  9. I though only dirty hippies liked anything but smooth, sugar filled, classic merican, peanut paste? That's what I grew up on but my hippish buddies parents had that crappy oily shit that rips the bread all up and taste like ground up peanuts of all things!!
  10. Strawberry, raspberry, boysenberry, pretty much most berries other than blueberries. Skippy smooth on a nice white bread. Or even sour dough. Or a tortilla.
  11. So you're pro bush or not? I have to say, I like a little bush down there, girl parts need some covering. Not all hippy jungle, but a nice little patch.
  12. Well on WOWS, they Iowa class only goes 30 knots when it was capable of 33, and did more than that in the 80s. Not sure if you want to cover WOWS here though.
  13. What's on everyone's keeper list? Unlike in WOT, I'm not going to sell any premiums. I have the Beta, the three pre order boats and the Atlanta and Atago. Up some point I want to pick up the warspite and the Russian Omaha. So far for destroyers, I've kept the Samson and Umikaze cause I like destroyers and they make money, lots of money for what they cost to repair. I'm not sure what I'll keep from the later ships. On Cruisers, I'm keeping the SaintL, I'll keep the Cleveland for sure, and probably the New Orleans. Not sure on the Japanese Cruisers yet, I didn't play them much. For Battleships, I'll probably keep the New Mexico, and everything after the North Carolina. I really hope they expand the US tree as the game gets older. I have not done Japanese Battleships and don't plan on it. I'll get around to carriers at some point, but I have not played any since beta. I hope they add bigger sea conditions in later versions.
  14. What's everyone's boat names? Mine is Jeeps_guns_tanks.
  15. Server pop of 12k plus when I logged in at 5:30 pacific. I think Ships is going to do fine.
  16. We are having a nice little heat wave here, and I get to work out in it, Tuesday and Wednesday it was in the high 90s, and you do get used to it. What really sucks is when you leave tools in the sun, they get so hot to the touch they can hurt like a mofo when you pick them back up. You do get used to it though, it's harder to get used to working out in the cold in my opinion. The normal weather during the summer is mid to high 80s. This is all fahrenheit because merika1!
  17. Nice... All I hear when I play my Atlanta is how horrible they are... I just LOL.
  18. Wow you hit something with Atlanta's torps?!
  19. This was on Foxtrotalfa today! https://youtu.be/CcmE7QI1WZY Mega woody time!! There is another video there, a longer one with interviews with the pilots, one of whom was Bob Odegard, just about a year before his death in one of only two, then flying Super Corsairs.
