It can fuze on impact, delay and airburst and is part of the Scorpion modernization :

Not strictly about space exploration but the closest topic :

Interesting read about space warfare as envisioned in the close future.

Found it by searching for the aircraft's number :
https://www.airhistory.net/photo/255494/9297
It belonged to the 41st Tactical Squadron (the emblem of the squadron has apparently nothing to do with the one on the plane) :
MiG-21 UM operated by the squadron between 1963 and 2003 if Wikipedia is right.

No idea about the technical markings in cyrillic but the text in blue on the last picture is in Polish. No other language remotely looks like that (google translate say it mean something like Burnt residues emissison).
Best bet to identify it would be the squadron emblem seen on the first picture. Didn't managed to find that specific one but that bird seem to be a common theme for polish squadrons:

Initial deliveries of Leopard 2A4s, Strv 121s, to the P4 Garrison. They still retain their German Army camouflage and markings in most of the pictures.

Likely since the UK received their last CTA turret last year and already have 270 turrets in excess since they cancelled the Warrior upgrade. They have too much of those guns in their hands.
https://www.shephardmedia.com/news/landwarfareintl/mod-receives-final-40ct-cannon/
They can't even sell the excess to France or Belgium since they messed with the loading system (making it different than the one we use) which created some of the issue the British had with the gun.
Best thing they could do is to equip more Ajax with the turret than initially planned but I think they are just trying to sell them on the international market.
I'm not sure of who would be interested in semi-defectives guns using an exotic calibre adopted by only three nations but they can always try to find a customer.
Maybe they could donate them to Ukraine?

Alzoc reacted to SH_MM in StuG III Thread (and also other German vehicles I guess)
KMW has showcased that a software update to the Puma's turret and a RF sensor (direction finder) allows it to engage micro-UAVs. I have posted earlier about this in this topic.
Below is a marketing photo from Eurosatory 2022, showcasing a Dedrone RF360 sensor on a RCT-30 turret mounted on a Boxer. The sensor would detect radio signals as used to control (micro-)UAVs within a 5 kilometres range and determine the direction from which the UAV is approaching. The software updated to the FCS would then allow (probably automatically) tracking the drone and engaging it.
That is MBDA's Multi-Purpose Combat Vehicle (MPCV) turret, which can be configured for anti-tank use or air-defence use by integrating different missile. It was not proposed by Rheinmetall for the NNbS program, only by MBDA.

My bad, I didn't read correctly.
My guess is that it is more of a marginal capability against drones than anything.
Opticals sensor are capable of tracking and engaging an UAV nowadays though you must first detect them, which is much harder without dedicated sensors.
More concerning than the elevation is the calibre. Sure 30 mm can technically have airburst ammunitions but anything smaller than 35 mm will be pretty anaemic and will have to compensate the small charge by putting more ammunition in the air. It's pretty much only for self defence as a last ditch option (much like anti aircraft HMG on MBT roofs). Better than nothing but you won't protect a combat group with that.
And even 35 mm is cutting it close as far as airburst power goes. You still have to fire a significant amount of rounds to have an effect :
A mere increase of 5 mm in diameter (30 mm to 35 mm) grants roughly 36% more volume inside the ammunition for a given length (if you go from 30 mm to 40 mm that's a 78% increase). You can use this volume to fit more explosive or beads in each round meaning a bigger effective blast range and a higher chance to disable the target with fewer shots.

A few Boxer models proposed by KMW for the German medium forces:
Anti-tank variant
Anti-drone system (already ordered for the VJTF 2023)
Two different mortar options:
Fire support
"Not-IFV" that is an IFV

As far as museum pieces in Ukraine goes this one is my favourite
Though I guess grapeshot could still be pretty effective at crowd control or to wreck a civilian grade car trying to break through the checkpoint.

Kind of sort of a Korean tank but also not really. The Chieftain posted a few pictures this past weekend of an interesting proposal by AAI to the South Koreans for the ROKIT program. As with everything AAI there's nothing online that I could find outside of what The Chieftain posted so I'm not sure of any details beyond what his Facebook post says. I'll keep looking for info but I'm doubtful I'll find anything online.
