And here is unknown model of T-80 that was adopted for service - T-80B2.

Main difference between T-80B2 and T-80B was GL-ATGM - instead of Kobra T-80B2 model was armed with 9M128 Agona GL-ATGM. In 1985, when development of Agona was reaching it's goal, Svir and Reflex GL-ATGMs were already adopted for service, making Agona irrelevant in eyes of Soviet Army. But tank was adopted for service before army made final decision, and that decision was not to produce T-80B2.

Agona ATGM reached state trials in 1986 and was adopted for service in 1988. It had tandem HEAT warhead, ~600-650 mm RHA penetration. Guidance system was similar or same as with Kobra - radiocommand.

Few more pics from my hiking. Only one or two from each. It would be way too many of them...

    Vltava river, south of Prague

Sázava river, just few kilometers away

    Pastviny dam, eastern Bohemia

A tourist path over the Lužnice river near Tábor, south Bohemia. Once there was one of the main Hussite fortresses near this tunnel but close to nothing is left of it (Příběnice), it's some 10 km from the Hussite capital city Tábor.

Countryside near Česká Lípa, Northern Bohemia

Now something cultural, Kutná Hora without the crowds of tourists. This city was once one of the richest in Europe thanks to its silver mines which were the deepest medieaval mines in the world (around 450 meters under the ground at the end of 15th century). This fantastic place is also famous for its bone church which is decorated by bones of 40 thousand victims of plague and Hussite wars (and which is by some funny coincidence lcated just next to a factory of Philip Morris).

Jizera mountains, north-eastern Bohemia, view towards Liberec city (hidden behind the hills) and its Ještěd mountain with a tower which won the 1969 Prix Auguste Perret architectural prize as the only building in our country.

A very local rain shower at the Sedlo mountain, northern Bohemia

View towards the German Saxony border, Lužice mountains, northern Bohemia (the boxy cliffs at the far distance are already in Saxony).

Today made a trip with a friend back to abandoned buildings from my post above. Apparenly they were supposed to be water treatment facilities. This time 80% more of parkour was used to get to new places.

Moving to biggest of unfinished buildings in this area. Will try to get inside of it.

Back to underground level of that building, but walked deeper. In order to get there we had to do 3 jumps from concrete pieces that were surrounded by water on top pillar base.

Next is small building. We got in it and explored 2 floors and a roof. Roof was uninteresting, no photos of it. Few other guys were there, firing BB gun somewhere.

Small building away from main group of structures.

Big hangar-like structure. Hangar itself you could see in pics from my previous trip, this time me and friend explored smaller rooms.

And friend's photos of building that is like 70% flooded from my previous post.

Great gallery taken in May 1945 around a place where I was born. German planes on Vysoké Mýto and Skuteč airfield, some destroyed (by retreating troops), two Bf-109 were even captured functional and flown by partisan commander, soviet captain Ivanov. Pity the Me-323 Giants were destroyed later

Another photos related to the Giants of Skuteč (6 were there in May 1945 out of 11 total in Czechoslovakia). Check photo No.8 and further. A Me-323 wing structure preserved till today serving as a bell tower

I believe Skuteč and Chrudim airfields could have been the last German ones to handle combat missions in the WW2. I think that planes from there were bombing Prague till 7th May.

Decided to take a short walk today. Didn't knew that it will be 4 hours long and will take place in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., thanks to small footpath and my curiosity. Had only my old phone with me, so photo quality is not great.

After 100 meters of walking found this place. Looking down in those tubes reveals big empty dark space below, half-filled with water. This thing is located between Soviet-build district and newly constructed housing project.

       Next buildings

Last one. Left entrance looks very unsafe, lol.

Leopard 2AV turret (T21) on pre-series Leopard 2 hull. Apparently with 105 mm rifled gun.

All thermal imagers based on Common Modules (TOGS, WBG-X, systems for M60A3 and M1 Abrams) utilize a 120 line detector, which is usually used to generate a image with a 640 x 480 pixel effective resolution (AFAIK it can be either interlaced or non-interlaced depending on the exact implementation). According to US data, this would allow the M1 Abrams to identify targets (i.e. to know wether the pixel blob on the screen/in the occular is a T-72 or a M1 Abrams tank) up to about 1,500 meters distance. However combat experience in the Gulf War has shown that in bad weather condiitons, target identification range can be limited to just 600 meters - this was blamed for the increased number of firendly fire incidents in Iraq.

West-Germany wanted to be able to fight at night at ranges of up to 3,000 meters (though even with their LLLTV systems actual range was probably closer to under 1,500 meters at bad weather conditions). The AN/TAS-3 has a 64 line detector and was ready for production in 1975, about the same time the Leopard 2 was originally meant to enter service. So it is clear that this technology didn't allow meeting the desired range at the time.

In the Jahrbuch der Wehrtechnik it is mentioned that the RZ 501 thermal imager made by the West-German industry had a 100 lines detector in 1974 and a MOU to develop the Common Modules was being signed, so technology was catching up - but the original Leopard 2 prototypes were ordered in 1971, well before thermal imaging systems were ready to become the sole source for night vision equipment of main battle tanks.

AFAIK the MIRA thermal imager for Milan has 50 detector elements, no idea about MIRA 2.

I think it was made mid-90's as a possible upgrade to Challenger 2 and to learn more about autoloaders as the NATO 140mm gun would need one.
