  1. That's pretty much the answer I expected honestly. You do seem to have pretty solid dimensions etc for it though, which is way better than nothing.
  2. I actually found some more information and pictures at defence.pk for anyone who is interested. https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/new-iranian-rifle-zolfaqar.503214/page-2
  3. Sturgeon, do you have any of the Russian 6mm unified cases bullets or etc?
  4. Signal hands? I'm simultaneously confused and intensely interested in getting what I'm sure will be an entertaining answer to just wtf signal hands are.
  5. I'm glad I checked before I posted a link with reduced resolution versions of the images Looser posted... If you open and enlarge the photos there's actually something very interesting to be seen. Namely, that both the pistol grip and stock are 3d printed! I'm thinking that the weirdly too large angled foregrip is too because it's proportions and scaling are kind of odd. Thank God they haven't figured out that you can smooth the outer surfaces and get rid of the telltale sign of larger layer sizes of FDM 3d printed objects using acetone. I am kind of proud of them though, since you can tell that they adjusted layer thicknesses, print speed, and etc between the stock pieces and the pistol grip! This actually shows that they truly grock some of the subtleties of 3d printing. And being the huge 3d printing fanboy/nerd that I am, that's exciting!
  6. https://pesn.com/archive/2011/02/14/9501767_Raphials_Revolutionary_Rhino_Gun_to_Start_MYT-6_Engine/AngelArms_QT_427_folding_300.jpg I'm fascinated with these stupid things. Or the idea of making actual working versions that use conventional ammunition rather than the "inventors" stolen rocketball ripoff crap! the "inventor" being Raphial (I've never ran them on actual fuel, but yeah 3000 horsepower at 30mpg is totally doable!) "Massive yet tiny" Morgado!
  7. I think he was quiet and kept to himself is neighbor code for this guy's in deep enough shit as it is, so I won't tell them about the one time he... Likely directly followed by internal monolog along the lines of, " and knowing the justice system here he just might get out and come after me for telling the reporter about that one time he...!"
  8. Cue CNN blaming it on a white middle aged Republican militia member in 3,2,1... Whoops forgot to add radical Christian pro life activist to the list... To be fair though, pro lifers do tend to shoot people and blow shit up a fair bit more than most groups! Just not in London AFAIK
  9. I like how the other two just casually step around the back of the vehicle and administer prophylactic cover fire like it's nothing until dude safely returns with the kid... At which point they step back around the vehicle and instantly relax again like it's just something that happens all the time while talking with friends on a street corner. There goes Dave again...
  10. Sad day, but at least they have been found... I was genuinely worried that some may have been sucked out to sea, and that's a slow death I wouldn't wish upon any enemy.
  11. Yes please, if by a couple you mean every missile the rich assholes can source from EVERYONE over the next 90 days that way the foreign workers have time to get out and the maximum number of both sides die.... Then definitely, yes please
  12. As a Max rider who lives in Portland, yeah you're totally spot on... In some ways this place is more dangerous than even the traditional hellzones of back east inner cities because of the sheer nutbag concentration! They're also the unpredictable nutbag types that just plain are not safe to be within the same enclosed volume because anything or nothing can set them off. It's not like dealing with the normal classes and groups of predatory people where A set course of action etc can be used to reliably avoid conflicts. The closest thing I've found to a failsafe procedure to avoid issues is to wear headphones and pretend to be 100% focused on your smartphone. The nutbags leave the smartphone zombies alone, mostly... Unless they don't... And THAT friends is the joy of riding the train in Portland!
  13. It's a far better way of doing business than the former administration... But this essentially takes nothing to accomplish other than to stop being our enemies bitches and liabilities to our friends. It's going to take a long time to undo all the damage our leadership has collectively wreaked on the country, and that process couldn't even start until someone good and polarizing like trump got the big chair!
  14. Well at least the rum and cigars are staying...
  15. I have very strong feelings on Oklahoma, and I'm glad fuckin Timmy and Terry both got it in the neck regardless of those feelings! I'm just wishing for equal spanks for equal levels of depraved fuckwittery! Which, you can't even TRY to argue has been the case so far if you have a conscience! I'm old enough to have a really good memory of the militia movement, AND the way everyone sane in the firearms community mercilessly mocked those fat faggots and put them in fuckin prison where they belonged! The ATF and FBI like to take credit for breaking the militias, but the truth is the rest of the community did what it took to cash those fools out and flush them... We do not see the left self policing in any way through the same time period, quite the opposite really, however if this incident changes that trend... It'll almost be worth it in my eyes! Please don't mistake me for one of the idiots who wants violence, I've experienced enough violence in my life to be thoroughly disabused of the romanticism some people hold for it.
  16. Sure makes you feel good about all that time and money people spent to drum up hysteria about right wing domestic terrorism, which never really existed but was good cover to keep people from realizing that their friends neighbors and etc actually spent the entire 60's & 70's being blown the fuck up, shot, robbed, and generally terrorized by an entire fucking panoply of leftist fuckwits... About half of which are now rich, NOT IN PRISON, and still advocating for bergen Belsen Dubuque edition to this very god damn day!
  17. Yeah I was going to put it on a 3d printer, no need for the extra grunt of a mill or etc provided I do it right... I've tentatively scheduled it to get built as an attachment for my 2.0 version of the MIT multifab. I'm gathering parts and etc for my 1.0 build now, which will be pretty close to a straight clone of the MIT machine whose plans, BOM, & etc I have gathered up in anticipation of this build. It's by far going to be my most expensive and ambitious DIY tool build yet though, so it's taken me quite awhile to gather the parts and cash to do it. At the end I'll probably be into the machine almost a solid $10,000 but I'm OK with this.
  18. Yes, I like lasers and very much want them to get cheap enough so I can put together a laser cutter that can do 1mm mild steel and such.
  19. Possibly even an sks-d or sks-m, one of the two uses magazines but I can never really keep them straight.
  20. Fiber lasers also get a lot of love from industry too! This, in effect to my way of thinking, equates to a bunch more people circling the problem looking for a way to take a bite out of it. Since you need both people working on a problem and money to fund the work, this should give fiber lasers an advantage over some other types. At least it will, if more people = more advances holds.
  21. That seems like a pretty reasonable explanation to me, thank you. The extent of my knowledge about shaped charges EFP & HEAT rounds is that they don't work the way the TV explanations say they do.
  22. I actually buy another brand of ketchup on a regular basis, but that's because I was converted by a friend several years ago to team curry ketchup. I buy it from a German specialty grocery store along with bratwurst, though I buy the German bratwurst because there's no local retailers that bring in genuine Wisconsin bratwurst that I can find. Couldn't agree more on the Avocados... Though I'm sure if I sat down and thought about it I could come up with a solid justification for giving Mexico my valuable avocado dollars over California! When they're in season here we go through 2-3 a day between myself and my wife since I've found that ratcheting down my meat consumption during hot weather months is actually a quality of life improving pursuit for me. I've also become mildly militant about using avocado oil for most of my frying needs. We bought some once on sale and were instant converts.
  23. I used to do quite a few when kits were cheaper. Haven't done one in probably a couple years though, it's kind of been a rough two years and I'm just barely starting to dig tools out of mothballs but that's slow going because my brother took a week of leave to come up to Oregon from 29 palms to put them up for me when I got sick.
