Tiger Forces capture Qatar village in east Aleppo

Moments ago in the Aleppo Governorate’s eastern countryside, the Syrian Arab Army’s “Tiger Forces” – in close coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade) – imposed full control over Qatar village after a violent battle with the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) this morning.

With the capture of Qatar village today, the Tiger Forces and their allies are now pushing west toward the Sheikh Najjar Industrial District and the Aleppo Infantry Academy; if the latter is captured, they will have a gateway to northern Aleppo from the provincial capital.

As a result of their recent success, the Tiger Forces and their allies are likely going to halt their advance into the strategic cities of Al-Bab and Deir Hafer in order to concentrate on recapturing several villages they lost during the Islamist rebel offensive in the late summer of 2012.

Syrian Army seizes Al-Tafahiyah in northern Latakia

The Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade of the Republican Guard is steamrolling through the Latakia Governorate’s northern countryside, seizing village after village from the Islamist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and the Free Syrian Army (FSA), who cannot seemingly find a way to halt the pro-government forces from advancing towards the Turkish border.

Moments ago in Jabal Al-Turkmen (Turkmen Mountains), the Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade), and Muqawama Souri (Syrian Resistance) – imposed full control over the village of Al-Tafahiyah after a violent battle with Jabhat Al-Nusra and the Free Syrian Army this morning.

As a result of these gains, the Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade and their allies are inching closer to the rebel stronghold of Al-Rabi’yah, leaving the Jabhat Al-Nusra and Free Syrian Army’s “1st Coastal Brigade” in a dire situation in Latakia’s northern countryside.

Syrian Army captures 8 more villages near the Turkish border

The Islamist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) are having one of their worst days in the Latakia Governorate this year, thanks in large part to the Syrian Arab Army’s massive advance across the Turkmen Mountains (Jabal Al-Turkmen) near the Turkish border-crossing.

According to the battlefield correspondent Eyad Al-Hussein, the Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade of the Republican Guard – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade), the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), and Muqawama Souri (Syrian Resistance) – imposed full control over 8 more villages in the Turkmen Mountains after a series of violent battles with the Islamist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

The villages captured by the Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade and their allies (specifically, the National Defense Forces) in the Turkmen Mountains over the last 4 hours are the following: Bayt Riha, Katf Al-Qamou, Burj Al-Rahmaliyah, Al-Qalayi’, Al-Riyaniyah, Al-Souda, Al-Rihaniyah, and Baldar.

For the Islamist rebels, they are facing complete encirclement at the strategic town of Al-Rabi’yah, which is situated just a few kilometers away from the Turkish border and the Syrian Opposition’s final supply route in the Turkmen Mountains of northern Latakia.

Syrian Army captures the village of Al-Amlayk in northern Latakia

Moments ago in the Latakia Governorate’s northern countryside, the Syrian Arab Army’ 103rd Brigade of the Republican Guard – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade), and Muqawama Souri (Syrian Resistance) – imposed full control over the village of Al-Amlayk and its hilltop after the Islamist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group) and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) retreated north towards the Turkish border.

According to the battlefield correspondent Eyad Al-Hussein, the Syrian Armed Forces advanced to Al-Amlayk from the village of Al-Rahamliyah in Jabal Al-Turkmen this morning – the aforementioned village is reportedly located southwest of Al-Amlayk.

Currently, the Syrian Armed Forces are pushing their way into the rebel stronghold of Al-Rabi’yah, where they are currently sitting just 1.5 km away from the Free Syrian Army’s first line of defense into this strategic town in the Turkmen Mountains – ongoing clashes.

Russian Air Force pounds the rebels main supply route in west Aleppo

Over the last 48 hours, the main highway leading to the Bab Al-Hawa border-crossing into the Turkish city of Reyhanli (Hatay Province of western Turkey) has been closed off as a result of the Russian Air Force’s strategic bombing campaign in the Aleppo Governorate’s western countryside.

The Russian airstrikes have been concentrated on the Reyhanli-Aleppo Highway, which is the primary supply route for the Islamist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group), Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham (largest Islamist group), Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) to western and southern Aleppo.

On Friday morning, the Russian Air Force struck an Islamist rebel convoy on the way to southwestern Aleppo in order to reinforce their fighters combating the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division, Hezbollah, the National Defense Forces (NDF), and Harakat Al-Nujaba (Iraqi paramilitary) near the M-5 Highway (Aleppo-Damascus Highway).

As a result of these targeted airstrikes by the Russian Air Force, the Islamist rebels have been unable to resupply their combatants near the Idlib-Aleppo border.

If the Islamist rebels are unable to utilize this highway, they will ultimately be without a primary supply to combat the Syrian Government forces in southwest Aleppo.

The Syrian Armed Forces have yet to begin phase 3 of the southern Aleppo offensive; however, with these airstrikes obstructing the rebel supply route, this assault could begin in the coming days.

Tochka missile parts near Idlib.

Probably was armed with cluster munitions warhead. Taking into account number of Iskanders, entering service, we should have plenty of Tochka missiles to ship to Syria. As Yemeni army and houthis shown, Tochka can be a very deadly weapon in right hands.
