LoooSeR
A bit on ASVK-M use. Quote ASVK M I was asked here to write a review on the use of this rifle. Let's start with that this is an old rifle. The history of its creation can be found on the Internet. We are interested in its real application. It is intended for the most part to work on "hard" targets, on group infantry targets, whether it be dismantling fortifications or buildings, as well as the destruction of equipment, the elimination of crews of grenade launchers, ATGMs, and similar specialists. When using MDZ, you can also work on an infantry group. Also, a sniper armed with this rifle, with proper skill, can also hunt enemy mortar crews. MANPADS crews. For the normal operation of this weapon, you will need ballistic tables, they will help and are available in the standard configuration. You will have to work no more than 2 km, or rather 1.5 km, and this is will be a good shot. The army sniper ammo will not allow for more. You also need a second number and it is better that he was never a porter but a specialist, since it is he who will give you corrections or you will give him. It’s difficult without corrections at long distances with such a recoil, you won’t understand if you hit or not. If you expect her to be easy to handle, then I'll disappoint you. The rifle is heavy and requires a specific approach. Starting with how you shoulder it and ending with knowledge of ballistics, and subtleties, for example - barrel twist, FGS, BC and so on. ASVK M can be called a successful rifle for army sniping. It is not too peaky within the limits allowed by sniper weapons, it is relatively light, and you will not have problems with ammo. What should be changed in it is to put a shockproof stable sight, I advise Nightforce NXS with a MOAR reticle and get (buy) a moderator for it, fortunately in our country there are manufacturers of moderators for this caliber. I also recommend bringing it to a normal battle on the ground and shooting through distances for clearer corrections. Use the StrelokPro ballistic calculator, but sometimes there is no time for this, and therefore the correction table and your knowledge will help you, learn the mat. part. For shooting, I don’t recommend shooting from it like from a machine gun, 10-15 rounds per hour, otherwise you will catch a wedge and have to wait until the barrel cools down. On a disguise matter - the most unmasking factors are the dust raised during firing and sound. You can solve all this at the expense of the moderator or, in the old fashioned way, lay a raincoat in front of the barrel and fix it so that it does not get blown away. That's all for now. To be continued... Miroslav

LoooSeR
Rare review of GSh-18. Pistol on the video is 2014 production. Pistol is light (400 gramms lighter than PYa, both unloaded, and when loaded GSh is stil llighter than PYa unloaded), with pretty good trigger compared to Sig Sauer and Glock Veresk was shooting earlier, lighter recoil than Sig. Easy to disassemble, eats any 9x19 including armor piercing. Video also shows him loading 18 shots as on net people were complaining that it is way too hard to do, then shows correct technique to load double stack mag for GSh-18. Pistol was painted not just to look cool, but because of not very good finish and subpar materials - pistol rusts rather quickly. Cheap materials also makes this pistol unreliable in long run, as parts breaks quicker than on other pistols. Spoiler Lugs P-96 was a base for GSh-18 design, also used lug on barrel for a lock up, but used 1 and bigger rotation angle of the barrel Early GSh-18s even had same pistol handle as P-96 Mag Spoiler Animation of pistol guts also in the video (8:30 if interested) Disassembly. Mag used to pul out slide catch Spoiler Rest of the way this catch is pulled by hand. And then whole slide can be taken out. Button in the rear sight base can be pressed by slide catch to get rest of guts out of the slide. LoooSeR
Heh, Barretov Quote MOSCOW, 5 August. /TASS/. The latest long-range ORSIS rifle chambered in 12.7x99 NATO standard, which allows hitting targets at a distance of up to 2 km and equipped with a sight with a built-in ballistic system, has been tested and is ready for serial production. The weapon will be presented to a number of foreign customers in August at the Army-2022 International Military-Technical Forum along with a 12.7x108 caliber variant, Promtechnologiya LLC (a manufacturer of rifles under the ORSIS brand) told TASS. "Samples of the rifle in caliber 12.7x99 have passed factory tests, and we are moving on to serial production. The company's capacities allow producing hundreds of such items a year," the company said. According to the developers, the rifle weighs 12 kg, demonstrates a stable accuracy of fire of 1 MOA [minute of arc]. "The effective firing range is up to 2 km. In fact, this is the first production model of this level in Russia," the company noted. The manufacturer also said that a new intelligent sight from the Dedal-NV company is being considered as a sight for the rifle, which has a built-in ballistic complex, an information processing system and a display with a customizable interface located in the field of view of the shooter. LoooSeR
AK-12 2020 model. Razvedos noted that AK-12 quality is worse than on previous AKs and he noted he heard only negative feedback towards AK-12 from soldiers in Ukraine. Stock on first model, holes for QD mounts, threads on barrel were unique for AK-12, which made impossible use of existing mods. QD mounts break relatively easy. LoooSeR
And more about AK-12 from Razvedos Quote #RAZVED_REVIEW: AK-12 Another review from a direct user regarding the operation of the new weapon: “I’ll start with the PLUSES (of which there are not many): Mega tactical look - adjustable tubular stock. Picatinny rails (on the cover of the receiver, handguard, lower handguard), allowing you to mount any mod for this type of mount to your liking. The rear iron sight have radial adjustment - by turning the handwheel, pressing on the diopter from above, you can set the desired distance, but in 90% of cases the “P” position is enough. Quote MINUSES: Diopter - when crawling it is clogged with earth, when it rains, it is drawn in by a water drop. Therefore, you must always carry a picking stick with you, otherwise you will not see luck. Layout - the legs should be torn out of the ass of the author of this design decision, but I will elaborate. In the handguard of the gun there is a three-piece ramrod, and other cleaning accessories (rubbing, brush, screwdriver and punch) are in the pistol grip. To remove the handguard, you need to turn rifle over, see a tiny hole, insert a punch into it, press hard - from which the internal spring in the form of a plate is pressed, releasing the cotter pin - and squeeze it out with your finger to the left or right. Then remove the handguard. t seems nothing complicated for a person with a "higher education:, BUT! But if the cotter pin is hammered inward without pressing the spring plate with a punch, then the weapon will not be disassembled. The whole company faced this, since the people who "completed" gun with disassembled ramrods from spare parts did it in their free time (read at night), using brute force, and not exact knowledge of assembly and disassembly. For those who did not understand - the whole company could not dismantle the rifles for maintenance. As a result, I had to use even more brute force in the form of a hammer and a bolt from an army stool - to knock out a cotter pin like a rivet. The machine gun shoots quite accurately, but after maintenance in the field it is necessary to "grind" the bolt, because otherwise it would engage "bolt catch" that weapon doesn't have after every two or three shots. One morning, the BCG from the extreme forward position refused to move to the extreme rear - and I had to put the machine gun on the butt and show it well with the heel of my boot, who was the boss in the house. At the same time, the day before, he was lovingly cleaned and oiled. The "muzzle" has a thin ring, located unevenly in diameter, as a result, carbon accumulates between it and the muzzle, which is very difficult to clean out. The weapon gets very hot even after shooting just one magazine. VERDICT: Private Vasya will fuck up all the small components, spit out in disassembling and assembling gun, along the way cursing its creator. AK-74M and AK-12, it's like "Mosinka" and SVT, i.e. in order to fight with a new weapon, it is better to have a mathematical mindset ”(c) V. Romanov. I repeat - this review does not cover the aspect of quality and culture of production, but only operational features. LoooSeR
Veresk is doing review of the Veresk, lol. SR-2M Veresk, to be precise. SR-2M. Spoiler SR-2 - early version were not very good, low quality of parts, even some mags were not interchangeable between SMGs, but weapon was sound, was modernised to SR-2M. Most recent version is SR-2MP with all the rails and ability to mount different stocks. Spoiler Visible differences between SR-2 and SR-2M: Visible difference between SR-2 and SR-2M is frontal part of the gun and muzzle device. Stuby thingy was changed for a grip and muzzle device got built-in handstop SR-2M also got this sheet metal dust cover behind fire selector lever. Spoiler SR-2MP - added rails, including to dust cover. Spoiler Guts of SR-2M are very similar to VSS and AS, but with few changes and smaller. Gun is easier to disassemble compared to AS and VSS. Press button in the rear to open dust cover, get recoil spring out, get striker spring out, than striker and then BCG. Gas tube also can be easily taken out after rotation. Handguard is clip on, easy to take out and put back. Spoiler Fire selector lever is separated from safety level, they are located on other sides of the gun Spoiler Buttstock is not good Mag release buttons are on both sides of pistol handle and one of them needs to be pressed forward to release magazine.
