Al-Mukowama aka Hezbollah information thread: only arab (not really arab) army (not really an army) that knows how to fight.

Recommended Posts

After Al-Mukowama and SAA pushed ISIS right to Lebanon-Syrian border (from Syrian side), LAF and others agreed to greenbus ISIS asses to Deir EzZor province for exchange for several prisoners (LAF personal) and bodies of several Al-Mukowama and LAF soldiers. Total number of ISIS terrorists being greenbused is 300-350.

Some of LAF soldiers bodies are already found.

Those were captured and killed during 2014 AFAIK, when ISIS and Nusra were in love with each other.

It is quite normal for the Lebanese to visit the units by former servicemen, incl. commissioned by injury.

Abd al-Hamid Hussain Assi (Malak), who was injured by a mine in Zabadani in 2015 (with amputation of his legs), visited the Resistance fighters in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Unlikely as i didn't saw any Al-Mukowama presence in Deir EzZor (appart from several advisors being spotted nearly 5-6 months ago IIRC). More likely local NDF or SAA unit with Hezbollah flags (popular in Syria) or they could be members of Syrian Al-Mukowama like Forces of Imam Reza.

Can confirm that 12 Al-Muqowama members and 1 MilitaryMediaSy reporter were killed in VBEID attack, but not in Deir EzZor, actually near T3-Humaima area.

BTW my post above (from Sept 3rd) with Al-Mukowama members photos is from that area.

@Collimatrix, @Bronezhilet

Al-Mukowama during 2015-2016 combat in Aleppo province used at least 2 T-90s (at least 3 T-90s were supporting their operation in SW and NW Aleppo province).

T-90A No. 21-6 in the south of Aleppo in the fall of 2015. After the fighting, tank was returned to SAA and last time was spotted in the summer of 2017

T-90A (without number), southern Aleppo, winter of 2015/16. One of two identical T-90As used in the south-west of Aleppo before the beginning of 2017 (after which it was probably transferred to the SAA). This T-90 at least in autumn and winter 2015 had a Syrian crew and the second one - Al-Muqowama crew.

In the village of Gaziya, Sidon district in South Lebanon, a soldier of the "Resistance" Ali Abdallah Sabra (Abu Mahdi) was buried, one of 7 killed on October 2 as a result of an air strike in the area of Huimayma (died from injuries):

The interesting thing is that he was member of the "Amal" and according to his request shortly before his death, the coffin with the body was carried under the party flag "Amal" (since the funeral of the Resistance fighters is organized by the Shahid Foundation, the symbols of Hezbollah by default is used for non-party and supporters of other parties).

Shows for those who like to refer Islamic Resistance as Hezbollah that Al-Muqowama and Hezbollah are not one organisation.

Greetings, I have been studying in the battle of Afrin since it started. Yet I still lack some information that can clearly analyse the opposite plan, war progress and order of battle of both side (Turkey army clear but YPG isn’t).
I am spectacular interested in the process of the battle as it revealed the true strength of the 2nd largest NATO army. Also, the performance of YPG/YPJ militant against the regular modern army is meaningful to modern warfare study too.
Hence, any kind man can help me on this field or even just give out a reading list?

This was posted on tanknet back in April, I can't believe I missed it.  I'm pretty sure this constitutes a grave crime against AFV decency and good taste.  And why the glossy green paint?

12 March fresh new video here
just so many of good footage, praise the IRINN.IR

so,Karrar MBT aka T-90MS mod 2017 Iranian limited Edition 2.0
Has finally have a bit long TV report, and what is this?

when i see this ‘barrel protective case’ thing, the only thing in my mind is
"NO,T-72I4! It's him! He is Back!"

but after watch the video i pretty sure it's nothing but reference ~
first noticed difference is the ERA kit

Karrar 'ERA kit is smaller, have 6 plate on each slide front
compare to T-90MS 's 4 larger size Relikt ERA

the thickness of the ERA are pretty close so i guess it's just the smaller new Relikt variant

      RCWS/Commander panoramic sight Station
huge muzzle brake but it seems just a 7.62mm RCWS,but looks cool

also the sight itself looks a cheaper product compare to T-90MS

Digital map, commanding system and Vehicle information Display
this is pretty good, Karrar may have the best digital equipment in all Iranian tanks, not even Zulfiqar-3

normal vision channal of the commander sight
for the gunner,i noticed something interesting

now this is something new, the Karrar have a whole new gunner sight,so obviously the new gunner sighting system is not simply rip-off from russian
but the really interesting thing is, it keeps the 1K13,which compare to T-90MS removed 1A45 completely and replaced by Sosna-U and a back up sight

why is this?  @Lightning think, that Iran hasn't prepare or able to create their own laser guide coding equipment,if they want to use 9K120 ATGM system, they need keep the 1K13 for laser coding
which i found is a high possibility that could be true

karrar‘s gunner displayer compare to T-90MS

let's expect more information of this tank in the future
