What did he actually say? Something about using bottle rockets strapped to pygmy Africans to get space? Because otherwise, I'm not sure what to think besides some kind of dehydration hallucination.

Holy shit, CNN just threatened to dox the guy who made the gif.

Quote

Andrew Kaczynski, senior editor of CNN’s KFile, discovered the identity of the Reddit user who made a short video of President Trump tackling a man with CNN’s logo superimposed on his face to the ground.

CNN is withholding the man’s identity “because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again,” Mr. Kaczynski wrote in an article published Tuesday night.

“CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change,” he continued.

If the name "Andrew Kaczynski" sounds familiar, it may be because he was one of the writers spreading word that Sunil Tripathi might be guilty of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing back when he worked for Buzzfeed:

Quote

In the blink of an eye, the Tripathi family watched as the image of their missing son appeared side-by-side with blurry images of a man only known as “Suspect 2” after the bombing. Amateur internet sleuths declared the two men were one and the same, even prompting some journalists (including Digg's Ross Newman, Politico's Dylan Byers, Newsweek's Brian Ries, NBC's Luke Russert, and Buzzfeed's Andrew Kaczynski) to spread word of Tripathi's possible guilt.

The actual story was that Tripathi was a depressed young man who had disappeared weeks before for completely unrelated reasons:

Quote

While the documentary focuses in large part on the collision between the Tripathis and cyber vigilantes and journalists who believed Sunil played a role in the bombing, Broffman says at the end of the day, the story that got lost in the chaos was Sunil’s own -- how depression can lead to a nightmare for a family that would have done anything to save their son. Sunil's body was found in the Providence River on April 23, 2013, and an autopsy revealed that he had committed suicide.

Kaczynski would later write this article clarifying that Tripathi was not a suspect, although he never once mentioned his part in spreading the erroneous story.

I like how every fault they've projected onto Trump, they actually display themselves. Like going completely bonkers because someone Tweets something unflattering about them.

Also I like how they still don't have the emotional intelligence to know how Twitter works.

Apparently we just don't understand how an image macro of the WWE puts all reporters in danger.

According to BuzzFeed, “one user pointed out that what Trump tweeted wasn’t actually HanA**holeSolo’s GIF.” Trump’s gif included both video and audio – whereas the Rebel smuggler wannabe’s gif did not include audio. Furthermore, the original HanA**holeSolo gif “was shorter, had a different aspect ratio, and had a WWE logo in the corner…Not even the colors are processed in the same manner… HanAssholeSolo's GIF has an NTSC aspect ratio, because it was cut directly from a taping of analog Westlemania footage. Trump's video has an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Apparently there's a guy on /pol/ claiming he's the one who made the actual gif, but holds that CNN wouldn't report on that because he's a pro-Trump Mexican national

The guy also claims he's not afraid of revealing himself, since he lives alone and has nothing to lose
