A large Turkish military convoy entered the Syrian province of Idlib. It had: M60TM tanks, armored vehicles Vuran, Cobra and Kirpi, as well as armored personnel carriers ACV-15 and M113.

Turkey declared the Latakia-Aleppo highway a military zone, hoping to stop the Syrian army’s advance.

Was this a recent acquisition or one they've been holding onto?

Today or yesterday, in Aleppo province, where SAA operation is ongoing.

A bit of info about operation:

"Tigers"  operate in the south-east of Idlib, in the Aleppo region, the 4th Division, the Republican Guard and Iranian wards operate. In this case, in Zaitan, the units of the Local Defense Forces acted with the support of armored vehicles of the 4th Division, so this is probably the tank of the latter.
And the big losses are understandable, reinforcements including the Uyghurs approached the militants in those places, and the Turks replenished their stocks of ATGMs. In addition, in the Aleppo region, it is necessary to break through defense line that was developed there from 2016-17. But on the whole, all this is surmountable and the militants suffer even greater losses, the main question is that the Turks will do further in this situation.

This is the HTS "elite" - Ingimashi and Special Forces from foreigners, including from citizens of the former USSR - Chechens, Uighurs, Uzbeks, Tajiks, etc. They usually are equipping normally at their own expense and undergo training. Fashionable equipment, weapon tuning, etc.

Jihadists conducted counter-attack in Zahra District of Aleppo (where T-90 and BMP was captured)

That T-90A was captured in Zaytan along with one BMP-1. Previously there were some photos which looked like at least one T-90A may have been operated by one of the Iraqi Shiite militias present in the south Aleppo (already since 2016 battles in that area). It could be their tank. Moreover it looks like they didn't even use the tank in repelling the attack and simply ran away leaving it behind.

Yeah, you are right about place, i confused them (late night here). Not sure about tank, it could have been SAA-operated tank that was given as reinforcement to NDF/LDF and was sheltered from artillery/mortar attack.

Turkey will continue operations to protect the population of the Idlib de-escalation zone, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a briefing in Istanbul before flying to Kiev.

"Ankara is determined to continue steps to ensure Turkey’s national security, as well as the security of the Syrian Idlib population," the president said.
/.../
The President noted that Turkey told Russia that if Moscow cannot stop the regime of Bashar al-Assad in Idlib, then let him not try to put obstacles in the way of the Turkish army.

Yeah, great. Sultan is again running to cover jihadists.

Iranian media confirm reports of the death of an Iranian military adviser and commander, Asgar Pashapur, during the fighting with terrorists in Aleppo province. They write that he was personally acquainted with General Suleymani and was one of the first to go on a mission to Syria after the Syrian authorities turned to Iran for help during the outbreak of war.

This turkish intervention at Saraqib is an interesting one. Did they occupy the entire town? I wonder what does this mean to SAA, do they have to just bypass the town and continue advancing along the highway, or they have to stop operations in this area, and begin the liberation of the areas west to Maarat an Numan instead?

Also, the fact that Turkey is so openly supporting terrorism, and at the same time, they are a significant member of NATO raises questions, not only about them, but about the entirety of NATO itself... Just my opinion...

Six Turkish soldiers were confirmed to be killed and seven others wounded by SAA in the village Tarnaba. This village is an active frontline on the western outskirts of Saraqib.

Some say it was an artillery strike, some others claim it was a commando unit engaged in the fighting.

While this incident has high potential for future escalation it also opens the question whether some of the Turkish ground units are already actively participating in the fighting.

New Anna video. Highly recommended.

Meanwhile SAA captured Tarnaba (with TSK post) and Nayrab which means they managed to cross the M4 highway west of Saraqib. SAA is now only about 8 km from the Idlib city itself. Also very close to Sarmin and Ariha.

Apperently those were guys that managed to conduct counter-attack in Zeitan (Uzbeks, Uyghurs, etc, "Islamic party of Turkestan" and "Tauhid val-Jihad"). They failed in Halasa after that.

Who was this person announced dead by Turkish MoD just two hours a go? There is no military rank in the announcement.

Jihadists pushed SAA from 3-4 villages in Aleppo province.

kfG2dWc.jpg

Interesting to see that HTS brought their best units for this. At least SAA forces that are pushing from south don't encounter all those troops. It feels like attack from Aleppo was supposed to force akbars to spread their forces and try to contain 2 SAA pushes.
