heretic88 got a reaction from Beer in The Soviet Tank Thread: Transversely Mounted 1000hp Engines
Sadly no. Indeed, almost all surviving AFVs are preserved in Kubinka (or actually, Park Patriot, all of them nicely repainted). Except one. There is a Nimród somewhere stored in Budapest(?), but no idea where. It was exhibited in Zrínyi Miklós National Defence University, but then moved to Petőfi Army Base for restoring it to fully operational condition. After the restoration, it was moved to unknown location.
Some pictures of the restoration:

1000 rounds of APFSDS for barrel life look very suspiciously, especially considering that HEAT is same 1000

The gunners sights on Panther(2,5x-5x) and King tigers(3x-6x) had optics with variable magnification, using least magnification had a very wide view angle. This can be also put to the comparison. The Panther gunner also had a two-dial turret position indicator, that may also have helped.
Another interesting thing is the "blindspot" from up to down and how other AFV had their way with it, like in the first image with a side view of a Panther.
The accuracy myth is one interesting too, soviets captured a random King tiger and tested it, the R100 is a lot tighter.

Not so simple.
First we bought 30 or 31 T-72 from SU in 1978. In the early 80s, T-72M began to arrive from Poland and Czechslovakia, and a second batch some time after 1985. T-72M1 appeared only in small numbers, in the late 80s (from Poland). Total number: 138
And now comes the crazy part, where most of the confusion originates. In 1996, we bought another 100 tanks, from Belarus. 96 T-72A and 4 AV. And for some stupid reason, these are also called T-72M1 here!
Now the fate of these tanks:
T-72: all destroyed and/or used for parts, except one or two in museums in extremely bad condition.
T-72M and the few M1: In 2004, the liberal regime in power back then donated 77 of these to iraq, for free. (a huge crime against the country, since our economy was about to collapse. What is even worse, that the regime do not only donated these tanks, they even refurbished them to perfect condition)
T-72A: In 2014, government sold 58+22 tanks to Czech republic (to the firm "Excalibur Army"). Most were T-72As, + the remaining few Ms
In the army we still have about 80 tanks, but only 25-30 of them are combat ready. The rest were cannibalized for parts.

Now a little bit different. KMW started assembling the refurbished Leopard-2A4s for Hungary. These will be training tanks until the new A7s arrive. According to the article below the turret was installed on the first chassis on 28th february. The plan is to deliver all 12 A4s this year.

Thats a little bit of exaggeration...
In the case of Volvo A60H:
Unloaded weight is 43750kg, payload 55000kg, total weight is 98750kg. Straight from the brochure.
Mining trucks are vastly different than military vehicles, with completely different distribution of weight. Apples to oranges I think.

Absolutely sure. The Kolarms factory was even visited by the hungarian gun magazine "Kaliber", with a very good report about the developments there. DSKM is called "MG1270", with minor modifications and modern production methods (CNC).
Website:
http://waffen.sk
Something interesting is that on the website, the DSKM is fitted with the normal muzzle brake, but in the gun magazine, on all photos you saw a simple welded brake, like the one you see on the nigerian armored car.

What about this?
Well, not movie tank, not even a vismod. But a quite original, home-made "tank" They built it in 2 weeks, using a skid steer loader engine and hydrostatic drive, some car parts for suspension, and fully self designed tracks.
