T-72B3 have better FCS than early T-90 and, in some areas, T-90A. Protection is somewaht similar, with T-90A having better composite armor on turret (for sure) and on frontal hull (rumored).

The Russian tank designers seem very much in love with radar ranging.  I am not sure why.

AFAIK Object 195 radar was not much about ranging.
