Belesarius got a reaction from Zyklon in The interesting ship photos/art thread.
"Many people assume that the Panama Canal had a massive impact on the dimensions of warships in the United States Navy. While this is true, many do not realize that warships of the US Navy were also under a height restriction.
Just as the Panama Canal influenced the beam of warships, the Brooklyn Bridge influenced the height of them.
This is because of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. This Naval Yard was so important to the United States Navy that it wanted all warships to be able to sail up the river and use it. This meant traveling under the Brooklyn Bridge and its 135' (41.1m) of clearance.
This clearance influenced warship design for quite some time. Even some of the later super carriers were designed to be able to travel under the bridge. This picture shows the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CV-64) traveling under the bridge. She had a folding mast to allow her to travel under the bridge." - Navy General Board FB.

We were speaking on discord about how bad Kamaz chassis is for Pantsir system and look at this event.
Now this thing manages to fuck up whole AA system on a ~flat road.

Belesarius reacted to Xlucine in North Korea, you so crazy!
August last year, the tower on top of the engine test stand was gone:

More recently, the tower has been rebuilt:

Deconstruction doesn't normally involve making a copy of the previous structure just to tear it down again

Please, go read this thread. And then read it again. And then take a half an hour to think about what you've read. And then, maybe, you can consider posting again.

XQ-58A Valkyrie
"The XQ-58A Valkyrie demonstrator, a long-range, high subsonic unmanned air vehicle completed its inaugural flight March 5, 2019 at Yuma Proving Grounds, Arizona. The Air Force Research Laboratory partnered with Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems to develop the XQ-58A."
"Developed for runway independence, the aircraft behaved as expected and completed 76 minutes of flight time. The time to first flight took a little over 2.5 years from contract award. The XQ-58A has a total of five planned test flights in two phases with objectives that include evaluating system functionality, aerodynamic performance, and launch and recovery systems."

It makes little sense to lie in public when you are gonna get called out via open source sat images within a few days.

Pakistan found a sub:
https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2950969591583426
Looks like a snorkelling SSK (note the splashing behind the masts), which isn't the hardest thing to find. They're trying to imply it's a scorpene, but the reference images provided don't look like a great match (the masts appear to be more side-by-side on the scorpene, whereas the sub detected looks to have them in a line). I'd guess it's a kilo, so only an 80's vintage 877 design but still capable of launching cruise missiles
