LoooSeR
https://bmpd.livejournal.com/3275136.html Quote On July 17, 2018, the new South Korean transport helicopter MUH-1 crashed on the base of the 1st Marine Corps in South Korea in Pohang, one of the first two helicopters delivered to the South Korean marines only at the beginning of this year. During take-off, just 10 seconds after the helicopter lifted into the air, the helicopter had suffered a detachment of the main rotor, which led to a crash. Of the six servicemen on board, five were killed. Quote On the bmpd side, we recall that the development of the KUH-1 Surion helicopter was carried out by KAI in cooperation with the European association EADS Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) under the June 2006 agreement. In this case, it was Airbus Helicopters responsible for the development of the entire helicopter carrier system and flight control systems, and in fact, apparently, determined the overall appearance of the helicopter, which looks somewhat smaller version of the Puma and Super Puma helicopters. As part of the production program, Airbus Helicopters supplies the main assemblies for all KUH-1. In this regard, it is appropriate to recall that it was the separation of the main rotor that caused the crash of the Helicopters H225 Super Puma helicopter of CHC Helicopter company in the North Sea on April 29, 2016, which led to a massive withdrawal from commercial operation of the Super Puma helicopters around the world (21 withdrawn from the service helicopters H225 of CHC Helicopter company were "picked up" by Ukraine). LoooSeR
Quote Mi-171A2 helicopter hard landing on Mount Elbrus Quote The prototype of the new Mi-171A2 helicopter made a hard landing on Elbrus. This is reported by the VKontakte team Military Informant. According to the media, an unsuccessful landing during the test occurred on August 3. The helicopters made a training flight, but at one point, one of pilots made a mistake. The rotorcraft lay on its side. Fortunately, in the course of an unforeseen situation, no one was hurt. The helicopter itself was damaged. The crew of the Mi-171A2 was evacuated to the nearest Nalchik. The multipurpose Mi-171A2 helicopter is one of the most anticipated novelties of the Russian helicopter industry, the result of a profound modernization of the Mi-8/17 helicopters. More than 80 changes were made to the design of the Mi-171A2. The helicopter is equipped with engines VK-2500PS-03 (civil version of engines mounted on combat helicopters Mi-28) with digital control system. One of the most important differences between the Mi-171A2 and the helicopters of the Mi-8/17 family is a new rotor system. The helicopter has a more efficient X-shaped steering rotor and a new main rotor with integral composite blades of improved aerodynamic configuration. Thus, only due to aerodynamics, the propensity of the Mi-171A2 rotor increased by more than 700 kg, which had a positive effect on the entire range of flight performance.
