If you look at the pictures at the bottom of this page, you can see that some models have the same flat-topped slide and cutouts around the front sight, and the same weird rear sight. You can see that the rear of the slide is angled, that some models have a spur hammer, that the ejection port does not extend to the top of the slide, and that the slide stop lever has a very shiny axis pin. The Slovakian K-100 family is extremely popular in Europe for competitive shooting events like IPSC. Every so often some company in the USA tries to import them, but they've never really caught on over here. Not much I can report on how good they are; I've only handled one but never shot it, and no I've ever heard of has reviewed the thing. It even got the honorary Sturgeon nod of approval when he was at my shop a while back. I mean, yeah, besides weighing approximately thirty pounds unloaded and without stock, it's a good rifle. Also, I'm surprised Miles is as green at shooting MGs as he is. I dunno if I can place why, exactly, but I am. Colli and I were discussing this earlier, it seems the AK5C actually prevents you from using the gas adjustment, because the rail's in the way. I really like the FNC's gas regulator.
