The standard engine for the Su-57 is planned to be completed in 2022

December 7, 2020, AEX.RU - Work on the creation of a second stage engine for the Russian fifth generation Su-57 fighter will be completed in 2022, Sergei Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation, told reporters.

"We continue to work on the second stage engine. Its flight tests as part of the aircraft continue. Several prototypes of the new engine have been manufactured. Its components and systems are being fine-tuned. And I hope that sometime in 2022 the engines will be ready," "and within a few years we will launch their serial production," he said.

Chemezov recalled that the Russian Aerospace Forces had already received 10 machines for trial operation, an experimental batch. By the end of the year, the army should receive the first fifth-generation fighter under a previously signed contract for 76 aircraft, while the first serial Su-57s will be equipped with stage 1 engines ( "Product-117").

Su-57's helmet has an integrated HUD and augmented reality features. It allows the pilot to see behind the cockpit, including in IR mode:

Note that should be mentioned - this helmet is going through testing, not accepted for serivce currently.

Sukhoi has begun development of the first Russian fifth-generation single-engine fighter jet, capable of over 2M speed and low radar signature. This is reported by TASS.

"The aircraft will develop a maximum flight speed of more than Mach 2, and also has super-maneuverability and improved take-off and landing characteristics due to the deflected engine thrust vector, the aircraft thrust-to-weight ratio is not less than 1," the message says.

   PAK-F35, lol.

Better hope this is total ,bullishit and no one is realy looking at developing an airframe with optional VTOL configuration

No one needs VTOL  .

With a weak propulsion setup like X-32 , you would need a much more powerfull engine than Al41 to get any useful payload. X-32 coudn't even lift of.
