Syrian conflict.

When ISIS first started attacking in Iraq, a lot of commentators talked about how fast they were at moving their troops in their jihadmobiles over open desert to flank, harass and encircle their enemies.  Now we see how fast ISIS is in the open desert once more.  At running away.

From the ANNA News report it sounds like ISIS is using small groups of soldiers in suicide attacks to delay the SAA advance so they can withdraw as much of their force as possible.  But then what?  An enormous, final stand once they are done running?  If they go north they hit the Kurdish forces, to the south and east they are cut off by Iraqi forces, and to the west is the SAA.  I guess they could try to force a breakthrough in the south and try to get to friendly Saudi Arabia... but then, Saudi Arabia is only friendly to extremists when they are outside of their borders.

So maybe they'll try to fortify one of the larger cities they still control, like Al Qaim or something.
