I had seen reports of bombing at the Conico plant. 

 

I can't say I know too much about the relations between the SDF and SAA/Russia.  Is this rise in tensions due to the two sides coming into contact over the oil and resources outside Deir Ezzor, or is it things coming to a point in overall relations and land claim.  I don't figure there's a lot of communication and diplomacy between the two on the matter..

It's a lot of things.  One is that ISIS was such a threat, and such a bunch of miserable excuses for human beings that defeating them caused a lot of marriage of convenience alliances.  Now that the eradication of ISIS is in the foreseeable future, a lot of those alliances are falling apart.

Also, the SDF is substantially US-backed.  Anyone US-backed in Syria is a potential troublemaker.
