Breaking: Syrian Army and Hezbollah Reenter Khan Touman in Southern Aleppo (21.11)

Moments ago, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division –in coordination with Hezbollah, the National Defense Forces (NDF) of Aleppo City, Kataebat Al-Ba’ath (Al-Ba’ath Battalions), Harakat Al-Nujaba (Iraqi paramilitary), Kataeb Hezbollah (Iraqi paramilitary), and Firqa Fatayyemoun – launched a counter-assault in the Khan Touman area, striking the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and their allies from Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki at the northeastern perimeter of the city.

The Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division and their allies were able to break-through Jabhat Al-Nusra’s frontline defenses after a series of intense firefights that resulted in the pro-government forces reentering the strategic city of Khan Touman; this aforementioned city is located along the imperative Aleppo-Damascus Highway.

Following their entrance into Khan Touman, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division and their allies seized several points at the east district of the city, killing several enemy combatants from Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, and Jabhat Al-Nusra, while also destroying a confirmed 3 armored vehicles that were mounted with a variety of anti-aircraft machine guns.

With their reentry into Khan Touman, the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies appear poised to seize this integral city after almost taking full control of it last month when they made a big push from the village of Al-Qarassi.

Recently, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, and Jabhat Al-Nusra conducted their own offensive last week that resulted in the recapture of the ICARDA facility and several other sites before the Syrian Army forestalled this assault.

Islamist Rebels Launch Counter-Offensive at Tal Al-Eiss in Southern Aleppo

Moments ago in the Aleppo Governorate’s southern countryside, the Islamist rebels from Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham – in coordination with Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra”, and Liwaa Suqour Al-Sham – have launched a counter-offensive at the strategic town of Tal Al-‘Eiss in order to reverse the gains made by the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized Division and Hezbollah last week.

The Islamist rebels chose to launch this counter-offensive tonight after several hundred fighters arrived from the Idlib Governorate in order to reinforce their embattled comrades that were under attack by the Syrian Armed Forces and Lebanese Resistance for several weeks at the southern Aleppo front.

The goal for this counter-offensive is to recapture Tal Al-‘Eiss from the Syrian Armed Forces and the Lebanese Resistance, followed by repositioning themselves for a massive counter-assault at the strategic city of Al-Hadher (east of Tal Al-‘Eiss), which was seized by the SAA’s 4th Mechanized Division and Hezbollah two weeks ago.

This will be no easy task for the Islamist forces of Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, Jabhat Al-Nusra, and Liwaa Suqour Al-Sham as the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies are heavily entrenched inside these two towns (Al-Hadher and Tal Al-‘Eiss) in the Aleppo Governorate.

Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade of the Republican has restarted their military operations in the East Ghouta (collection of farm) region of rural Damascus after taking a brief hiatus due to the ongoing negotiations between Russia and the Islamist rebels of Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam) to implement a 15 day ceasefire agreement in this area.

On Saturday morning, the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade – in coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) – launched a powerful assault on the Marj Al-Sultan Airbase, capturing several farms that border this imperative village to the north.

Following their success at the Marj Al-Sultan Military Airbase, the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade and their allies concentrated on the northern farms of Douma, seizing this site at the eastern flank of the Damascus-Homs Highway after a series of intense firefights with the Islamist rebels from Jaysh Al-Islam.

Perhaps the Syrian Arab Army’s most ferocious assault took place in the strategic city of Darayya, where they were joined by Iraqi paramilitary units and Hezbollah in order to take full control of the Darayya Association Quarter that was partially captured by Ajnad Al-Sham during their offensive in rural Damascus.

With the military operations restarting in rural Damascus, the violence is likely going to increase in the coming weeks, as both sides attempt to advance.

Turkey wants to create a security zone in Syria near Turkish border.

Kuwait, November 22. / Correspondent. Vasily Vavilin TASS /. The security zone will be established in northern Syria near the border with Turkey this week. On Sunday the pan-Arab newspaper "Al-Sharq al-Awsat" wrote "Security Zone, which Ankara aims to create , will be established this [or next] week - told a source in the Turkish government. - The relevant Turkish authorities have taken a decision before the start of the G20 summit in Antalya."

According to the source "Turkish troops will not be moved into the territory of the neighboring republic, but they will provide air and artillery support for anti-government armed Syrian opposition to establish a" security zone ", which will run on the territory of the SAR along the border with Turkey from Jharablusa to Azaz."

Otaga member claims that they are covering Daesh zone, but not north-western part (Latakia). I found Azaz on the map, but not Jarablusa.
