Serge got a reaction from Lord_James in StuG III Thread (and also other German vehicles I guess)
Commonality is good but a dedicated rear engin Lynx chassis would have been far better.
The legacy Lynx is too much high, too much heavy to carry such a turret.

At war, protection is statistical.
You’re not only facing the highest threat but the whole one which starts with rifles.
The more you can face, the better this is.

Lynx 120 fire support vehicle, featuring a new 120 mm smoothbore gun derived from the Leopard 2's main armament. Also features a Natter 12.7 RWS and the SEOSS-2P commander's sight.

BMP-3 cold weather starting tests, but interesting bits are add-ons for tracks to make them wider and uparmor kit.

Serge reacted to Laser Shark in The Leopard 2 Thread
If there are lessons to be learned from the self-propelled artillery trials, my answer would be that the importance of some of the more "unsexy" factors such as reliability, ease of use and ease of maintenance should not be underestimated. Those are a boon to any army, of course, but they're especially important to one that still relies upon conscription to fill out its ranks.
Edit: Currently, Norwegian tank squadrons are mostly made up of enlisted troops, though, but this will likely not be the case with the new ones they’re planning to raise.

It’s not compulsory to have competitors fitted with ADS to have a good evaluation.
ADS is just an option. There is too many things to already test (mobility, fire power...)
I’ve heard there is another ADS solution on tracks too.

It’s a shopped A7DK photo (they’ve added PERI RTWL and SAAB cameras), but it probably gives a reasonable impression of how an A7NO is going to look like.

Serge reacted to Cleb in Kimchi armoured vehicles: K1, K2, K21 and other AFVs from Worse Korea
Absolutely. Korea awarded a development contract with Chrysler (eventually became General Dynamics Land Systems hence on most pictures of the XK1s have GDLS marked on them) for a tank which would eventually become the K1.
You can get a general overview of the development from this page scan from Janes IDR:

Serge reacted to Ramlaen in United States Military Vehicle General: Guns, G*vins, and Gas Turbines
This vehicle was essentially an AMPV with a Bradley turret. BAE offered to the US Army a hull swap upgrade in a similar fashion to how flat bottom Strykers are converted into double V hull, disassembling the vehicles and reassembling them with the new base hull + other upgraded parts. Yes a 'turretless Bradley' being given a turret as Bradley upgrade is quite funny.
The A4 upgrade for Bradleys are M2A3 with both the ECP (engineering change proposal) upgrades.
-MOD 6 (BFVS Track and Suspension Modification) - Provides funding to support procurement and fielding of the Track and Suspension Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) to the Bradley Vehicle fleet. The Track and Suspension field modifications include track and suspension system upgrades that help to alleviate mobility, force protection, and system survivability deficiencies. Costs associated with kit installations are included in the funding for the prime hardware contracts.
-MOD 7 (BFVS Mobility Modifications) - Provides funding to support procurement and fielding of Bradley A4 variant vehicles. In addition to vehicles, funding supports the procurement of government furnished material, engineering support related to production, and fielding. The M2A4/M7A4 Bradley regain lost capability due to added weight by upgrading the powerpack and drivetrain systems. The A4 improves the electrical system to enable hosting of inbound technologies from other Army Programs of Record.
Visually it is very hard to tell an A4 from an A3 since many A3 have the first ECP upgrade and the new double pin tracks.
