Well, the Proriv-3

T-72B to T-90AM/M would be a massive pain, given the new turret. If Russia had more time and money, they might have.

Why it would be massive pain? AFAIK there were no significant changes in turret rings between those 2. Also, Object 292 turret could fit both T-80 and -72, it could have been used as a examlle/starting point.

ZAK-57, possibly it is first version of Baikal turret. ZAK means Zenitniy Artilleriyskiy Komplex, AA cannon system, i guess.

Just a reminder - T-72B3 is a piece of crap, with protection level of T-72 from late 80s. All, who think otherwise are traitors of the Rogatka, T-90AM and T-14, and must be send into combat inside of the T-72B3.

Changing that would require a new turret, new Glacis armour, new ERA etc. B3 is no stunner, but at least it improves the FCS and firepower. Hopefully we will see Relikt kits being fitted in them to minimize the issue of armour.

There were more T-90As in Ukraine than B3s. Now in Syria same sstory is happening - T-90A are main armour of Russian forces. But even they are not very well prepared for local conflict.

Our MoD is always trying to prepare for massive WW2-like conflict and forget about such simple but critical things like fucking actual sideskirts or RCWS.
