   Russian military aircrafts, placed on the Syrian air base "Hmeymim" near the city of Latakia, used against terrorists powerful guided KAB-1500 air bombs, told the representative of aerospace forces of Russia Colonel Igor Klimov. Two of these bombs were mounted on the Su-34 bomber. The plane took off on a mission in the east of the country in the areas controlled by militants of terrorist organizations.

   "Guided air bombs KAB-1500 (it received its name due to the weight of 1.5 tons - ed.) Is characterized by high accuracy. It is equipped with laser homing warhead, through which the bomb is corrected by laser" - said Klimov.

   According to reports, over the past month, the Syrian Arab Army, in cooperation with the Russian Military Air Space Forces, Hezbollah and National Defense Forces  (NDF) destroyed 55 warlords of IS, the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda "Jabhat Al-Nusra", Free Syrian Army (FSA), Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and several other Islamist groups operating in Syria.

 

   Since most of the commanders of the Islamist groups come from areas of Aleppo, Idlib, Latakia, Raqqa and Hama, it seems that the Syrian Arab army and its allies purposefully hunt for the radical commanders of paramilitary groups in northern Syria.
