6 missiles in Tu-160 drum. Tu-160 is giant flying revolver for cruise missiles  :D

Looks similar to the rotary launcher that can be fitted to the B-1B:

I wonder how the size of the weapons bays in the blackjack compare to those in the B-1B.  I guess they must have gotten the engine supply issue on the TU-160 figured out too.

Ceasefire is for those civilians, left in Duma/Harasta, as frontline is getting to villages and towns themselfs.

Well, this was expected.

Rural Damascus Ceasefire Agreement Rejected by Jaysh Al-Islam

The Russian Ministry of Defense presented a 15 day ceasefire plan to the Syrian Arab Army’s Central Command and the Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam) representatives on Wednesday morning in order to implement a contingency to dissipate the violence that was plaguing the East Ghouta (collection of farms) region of rural Damascus and work towards national unity.

Unfortunately, one side was not receptive to this potential ceasefire agreement, despite the close coordination between Russia, Turkey, and Iran.

According to a military source in the Syrian capital, Jaysh Al-Islam rejected the 15 day ceasefire agreement after Russia demanded the aforementioned Islamist group to withdrawal from the areas around rural Damascus that were under a reconciliation agreement (i.e. Barzeh and Harasta).

Jaysh Al-Islam has been under siege in the East Ghouta region of rural Damascus for over two years now and with this ceasefire agreement, they would have been able to bring in the necessary supplies to continue their battle in the towns of Harasta, Douma, Jobar, ‘Ayn Tarma, and Marj Al-Sultan.

Recently, the Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard broke-through Jaysh Al-Islam’s defenses at the Marj Al-Sultan Military Airport; however, this incident was not enough to convince the Islamists to accept this deal.

British Cabinet Minister: “We’re Going To War”

Although there is no scheduled timetable to vote for the United Kingdom’s military intervention being expanded from Iraq to Syria, it is likely it will happen before Christmas.

Defence Secretary, Michael Fallon, has begun talking to MPs to pass the vote through the Commons.

David Cameron has ignored the protocol of receiving United Nations authorisation believing it not necessary as he did not want to face a “Russian Veto”.

The Labour Party however has suggested that Mr Cameron seeks a United Nations resolution.

The confidence that the vote will pass through the Commons as led to an unnamed  senior cabinet minister telling the BBC: “we’re going to war”.

Although MPs voted for a military intervention against Assad’s government in Damascus, it was later pushed aside to focus on air strikes against ISIS in Iraq.

Tiger Forces Capture 3 Villages in East Aleppo as ISIS Fighters Abandon the Jabboul Lake Front

The hits keep coming for the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) in the Aleppo Governorate’s eastern countryside as they have conducted another massive withdrawal from the Kuweires Military Airbase, despite being only 8km away from their long-time stronghold of Deir Hafer.

Last night, the Syrian Arab Army’s elite “Tiger Forces” – backed by the SAA’s 2nd Division and the National Defense Forces (NDF) of Aleppo City – launched a powerful assault on three villages located just north of Jabboul Lake, targeting ISIS’ defensive positions along this relatively untouched part of eastern Aleppo.

Following a series of intense firefights with ISIS, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies imposed full control over the villages of ‘Umm Zilaylah, Tal Ayyoub, and ‘Umm Al-Marra, leaving the aforementioned pro-government forces in position to strike the ISIS stronghold of Deir Hafer for the first time since 2012.

In addition to their capture of ‘Umm Zilaylah, Tal Ayyoub, and ‘Umm Al-Marra, the Tiger Forces and their allies have imposed full control over the strategic hilltop of Tal Humaymah, paving the way for their entry into the village of Humaymah Al-Kabeera this morning.

According to a military source in the city of Al-Safira, the Tiger Forces are currently combatting ISIS inside of Humaymah Al-Kabeera, where they are currently advancing south.

Iraqi and Hezbollah Reinforcements Propel the Syrian Armed Forces to Capture Al-Dawa in Western Palmyra

The recent arrival of Kataeb Imam ‘Ali (Imam ‘Ali Battalion) and Hezbollah reinforcements to the Palmyra front has propelled the embattled soldiers from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and National Defense Forces (NDF) to make another push towards this ancient city in the Homs Governorate’s eastern countryside.

On Wednesday morning, the Syrian Arab Army’s 67th Brigade and the 550th Regiment of the 18th Tank Division – in coordination with Kataeb Imam ‘Ali and the National Defense Forces (NDF) of Homs City – launched a powerful assault on the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham’s (ISIS) defensive positions at Al-Dawa, killing over 20 enemy combatants while also destroying the terrorist group’s primary weapons hub in western Palmyra.

Following a series of fierce firefights with ISIS on Wednesday, the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies imposed full control over the Al-Dawa region of western Palmyra, which paved the way for their advance towards the Palmyra Driving School and Tal Syriatel.

Over the last 72 hours, the Syrian Armed Forces and their allies have made several advances towards the western and northern gates of Palmyra, while the Russian Air Force continues their aerial campaign over this strategic city that is situated in the heart of Syria’s desert landscape.

The military operations around the Palmyra countryside are expected to intensify in the coming days as both Hezbollah and Kataeb Imam ‘Ali increase their presence on the battlefield.

Breaking: Syrian Armed Forces Inside Maheen in East Homs

Last night, the Syrian Armed Forces entered the Maheen Orchards after capturing the village of Hawareen and Tal Daher; however, this morning, the Syrian Armed Forces entered the town of Maheen after securing the orchards that surround the northern flank.

With their backs against the wall, ISIS is on the verge of defeat inside of Maheen after taking full control of it from the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) in early November; this paved the way for the terrorist group to assault the predominately Syriac Christian city of Sadad in east Homs.

Over the weekend, the National Defense Forces (NDF) of Sadad – in coordination with the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, and the Assyrian “Gozarto Protection Forces (Sootooro) – launched a counter-offensive against ISIS to recapture Maheen and the villages to the north of the aforementioned town, resulting in a substantial push towards it.

Currently, the Syrian Armed Forces are advancing inside Maheen; however, ISIS is determined to repel this assault as reinforcements have allegedly arrived this morning to help to push back the encroaching pro-government forces.

Maheen is strategically located in the vast desert countryside of the Homs Governorate; it is relatively uninhabited and is located next door to the large Syriac Christian city of Quraytayn.

Russia: Paris attacks changed West’s views on Assad

The Paris attacks have helped the West understand that the priority in Syria is to fight ISIS not to topple President Bashar al-Assad, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday, according to Russian agencies.

Lavrov reiterated Moscow’s position that there was no way to solve the Syria crisis peacefully without Assad, who he said represented the interests of a significant part of Syrian society.

Meanwhile, Syria’s Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem plans to visit Russia on Nov. 25, Sputnik news agency reported on Thursday, citing Syria’s embassy in Moscow.

Walid al-Moualem will visit Russia next week for talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about his country’s crisis and the struggle against terrorism, RIA news agency reported on Wednesday.

Coordination with France
Russia’s chief of general staff held talks with his French counterpart on Thursday on combating ISIS in Syria, in the first such contact since the start of the Ukraine conflict last year.

Valery Gerasimov and Pierre de Villiers “discussed on the phone the coordination of military troops’ actions against ISIS terrorists in Syria,” the Russian defence ministry said in a statement, adding that the conversation lasted an hour.

The two military chiefs “exchanged their evaluations of the current situation in the country” following calls to unite efforts against ISIS group by presidents Vladimir Putin and Francois Hollande.

“The terrorist acts in Paris and on board of the Russian passenger plane are links of one chain,” Gerasimov was shown by state television as saying on the phone to his French colleague.

“Our grief and our wrath must help join efforts of Russia and France in the fight against international terrorism.”

Putin on Tuesday ordered his navy in the eastern Mediterranean to cooperate with a group of French ships set to arrive in the area Friday and “treat them as allies,” which would be the first such joint operation since World War II.

De Villiers and Jean-Yves Le Drian, the defence minister of NATO member France, had no contact with Russian counterparts since Moscow annexed the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine in March 2014, according to a French source familiar with the situation.

Moscow and Paris announced close cooperation against the Islamic State group following the bombing of a Russian airliner over Egypt and the attacks in the French capital, which killed 224 and 129 people respectively.
