Exciting happenings in Saudi Arabia.

Not that I am against this, mind.  But WTF is going on?

The Daily Heil is not the most reliable of sources:

Troops getting radiation sickness despite no significant radionuclide emissions detected?

The missiles of the US Patriot missile system, which are in service with Saudi Arabia, failed to hit the Husit ballistic missile launched on Tuesday from Yemen, military journalist Babak Tahwai said.
According to him, all the Saudi air defense forces fired five MIM-104C missiles from the Patriot PAC-2 missile defense system on the Burkan 2-H ballistic missile. None of the interceptors could intercept the Husit warhead, but the ballistic missile did not reach its goal, because it missed. The journalist said this on his Twitter.
Tahwai also published a video of the launch of missiles.
Previously, Saudi media reported that Saudi Arabia was able to repulse a missile attack of husits in Riyadh. The journalist, by the way, is competent and has never been a fan of Hothis or Iran, on the contrary, even.

MOSCOW, Jan. 16 - RIA Novosti. The first screened film in Saudi Arabia after 35 years of banning cinemas was the American "Emoji film", reports Newsweek magazine.

I see, their plan is to show shit movies so no Saudi will watch them again!

I think Saudi building (or buying) nukes in response to Iran has been discussed here before;

Rumors I've heard elsewhere is that the Saudis put a significant amount of money into Pakistan's nuclear program in exchange for the right to buy a few if they ever wanted. Though, I think even the Saudis could build some shitty fission bombs if they wanted to. North Korea did it with much less resources (though their scientists/engineers are probably more competent than the Saudis).

I think Saudis can't build shit (thats why they always are buying anything more sophisticated that a rifle or hire engineers from other countries) and, unlike Best Korea, they are not limited by UN sanctions, they can get their hands on anything they want (from French and UK politicians to almost any weapon system). It is easier for them to buy stuff instead of making their own.

And prince sounds like an idiot in that interview, Houthis still putting serious fight against Saudis and their mercenaries, even without having shoes.

That's a lot of gunfire for one drone. Wouldn't the saudis have bought drone jammers already anyway?

That would involve the Saudis knowing how to fucking use the expensive equipment they've bought. Saudi Arabia is a backwards LAUGHABLE shithole. They can't figure out how to kill the Houthis with billions of dollars of the best western military equipement that money can buy.

Nice meme, why destroy someone's feeling? Why do you even start flame war to ruin the already bad Japanese tech tree? Why don't you sign up a partnership program with Gaijin? She is trying her very best supporting the few of us playing Japanese tank tech tree? I don't care if she made Ho-Ri up or not, none of us want to care about this. We want something good as Russian tanks in War Thunder, and the answer is the Ho-Ri production.  If you say that you have 100 picture of Ho-Ri or 5 video of it, that will be very convincing. But the reality is that your just another Chinese that want to rost Koreans. Sadly you and your Hon Kong are just same person that sits in front of your computer 24/7 without any research on Japanese tank.
Also if you dare changing our beloved Ho-Ri's slope front armor into flat. EVERYONE in the Japanese tech tree will bloody murder you when you sleep.

(Washington, DC) --  Today, the Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir hosted a press conference at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia and issued the following statement:

“Saudi Arabia has launched military operations in Yemen, as part of a coalition of over ten countries in response to a direct request from the legitimate government of Yemen. The operation will be limited in nature, and designed to protect the people of Yemen and its legitimate government from a takeover by the Houthis. A violent extremist militia. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries tried to facilitate a peaceful transition of government in Yemen, but the Houthis have continuously undercut the process by occupying territory and seizing weapons belonging to the government. In spite of repeated efforts by the GCC, G10 countries and the Special Representative of the U.N. Secretary General to seek a peaceful way to implement the GCC initiatives and the outcomes of the national dialogue that define the political transition in Yemen, the Houthis have reneged on every single agreement they have made and continue their quest to take over the country by violent means. They captured the capital city of Sana’a, they placed the legitimate president, prime minister and cabinet members under house arrest, they seized the security services and they continue to expand their occupation of the country.”

“In a letter dated March 7, 2015, President Hadi of Yemen made a request of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to convene a conference under the auspices of the GCC to which all Yemeni political factions seeking to preserve security and stability in Yemen would be invited. The Houthis rejected this invitation and continued their violent onslaught in Yemen to the point where they were threatening to occupy the city of Aden, which had become the temporary capital for the legitimate government of President Hadi after he was able to escape from Sana’a. In a letter, dated March 24, 2015, President Hadi requested, based on the principle of self-defense, enshrined in Article 51 of the U.N. Charter, as well as in the Arab League charter’s collective defense mechanism, a request for immediate support – by all means necessary – including military intervention to protect Yemen and its people from the continued Houthi aggression and to support it in fighting al Qaeda and ISIL.”

“Based on the appeal from President Hadi, and based on the Kingdom’s responsibility to Yemen and its people, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with its allies within the GCC and outside the GCC, launched military operations in support of the people of Yemen and their legitimate government.”

“May God Almighty protect the brave soldiers and may He grant them success in their noble mission.”
