If the tiger tanks had actually achieved the sorts of kills that were claimed, then yeah, maybe it was a decent cost/benefit.

 

But then again, if what was claimed in Berlin were actually true, then by early 1945 the Soviets were unable to make another offensive, fortifying the Eastern Front was a complete waste of time, and that both Porsche and Henschel tigers should be produced because the tiger (p) was better for the North African theater and the tiger (h) was better suited to Russia.
