Is that the actual name? I´ve seen other names for the same vehicle on official materials, such as "BTR-22" or "BTR-82 Advanced". BTR-22 is the best name in my opinion.

BTR-82A Improved is name. Improved in Russian is Uluchsheniy, like in T-80U. So i call it BTR-82AU. Note that this is company given name, Army didn't bought it to give it any official designation.

Also, Ballista RCWS (ex BTR-BM) stats

There is some speculation that they are calling it a "BTR-82" to bypass bureaucratic steps regarding testing and so on, in order to start production as soon as possible.

Apparently UVZ want to restart T-80 production :

It's surprising that they want to go this way instead on focusing on T-72 and T-90 given that no new T-80 has been produced for over 30 years which mean that suppliers for the necessary parts are either long gone or don't have the production capability anymore. Possibly some bottlenecks in the T-72 and T-90 lines which limits the production while the war in Ukraine require more  tanks to be produced to mitigate attrition?

As the article point out, it is however possible that they still have some unfinished hulls in storage and simply want to use the existing tools to assemble them. They would however be limited by the number of hull in storage and how well preserved they are.

Restarting production  most likely = refubing old  , same is done in US with Abrams hulls

There are 1000+ T80 hulls in storage so can be refurbished and upgraded definitely cheaper and easier than making new hulls, mating a T90M or better yet a Burlak turret would make sense, T80 is the best chassis of all Soviet tanks ,engine can be either diesel or turbine , but Turbine has huge reserves to be unlocked.
