Gurkhan few years ago told that Armatas are going to get new rollers. Difference is small, interesting if anything else was changed.

A bit of timelines regarding Boomer and Armata.

Boomer. Preliminary tests completed, state trials planned for 2021. Vehicle (at least IFV version, AFAIK) received export passport

Quote

- In accordance with the schedule for development work "Boomerang", "The Military Industrial Company" (VPK) together with the Main Armored Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and research organizations of the military department completed preliminary tests of prototypes based on this unified interspecific wheeled platform in Last year.
The K-16 wheeled armored personnel carrier and the K-17 wheeled infantry fighting vehicle were created on this chassis. During the preliminary tests carried out, the prototypes confirmed the characteristics stated in the technical specifications.
Based on their results, we decided to slightly change the armored hulls, as a result of which the conditions for placing soldiers in the troop compartment will be improved, as well as the vehicle's buoyancy will increase.

Now at the production facilities of the "VPK" assembly of new prototypes of "Boomerang" is underway for state tests, which are planned to be completed next year. In addition, at the enterprises that are part of our management perimeter, the production base is being updated and prepared for the serial production of equipment based on this platform. So, for example, the Corps Plant JSC has completely manufactured the necessary equipment for the production of new armored hulls.

Confirmation from VPK (makers of Boomerang):

The Ministry of Defense will begin state testing of the Boomerang platform in 2021.

State tests of the latest K-16 armored personnel carrier and the K-17 wheeled infantry fighting vehicle on the promising Boomerang platform will begin in 2021. This was announced to TASS on Friday by the general director of the Military-Industrial Company (VPK LLC) Alexander Krasovitsky.

“Previously, armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles on the Boomerang platform have successfully passed preliminary tests. After them, we implemented a number of the customer's wishes, finalized the machines, made new samples taking into account all the modifications. Now the vehicles are ready for state tests, which are planned to begin next spring,” said Krasovitsky.

In April this year, the military-industrial complex told TASS that the armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles "Boomerang", modified after preliminary tests, will receive an enlarged hull with improved buoyancy. The new hull will also make it possible to more comfortably accommodate the troops in full gear.

Some news - it appears MoD will not wait until end of trials and want to start production earlier.

"Serial production of promising equipment, including the T-14 tank and the T-15 BMP on the Armata heavy tracked platform, will begin before the completion of all stages of their tests. This will speed up the delivery of new equipment to the troops, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko said in an interview with Krasnaya Zvezda on Wednesday.

"To reduce the delivery time of new samples to the troops, their production will be carried out before the completion of tests after confirming the specified characteristics and testing in conditions close to combat," Krivoruchko said.

According to the Deputy Minister, in 2022 it is planned to complete the creation of a promising T-14 tank, infantry fighting vehicles (T-15, B-11, K-17), armored personnel carriers (B-10, K-16), an armored repair and recovery vehicle ( T-16) ("Armata", "Kurganets-25" and "Boomerang"), 152-mm self-propelled artillery pieces ("Coalition-SV"), as well as a whole line of advanced combat modules for equipping tracked and wheeled vehicles."

For the first time, Rostec will take military equipment based on the Boomerang armored platform to a foreign export-oriented exhibition. This will take place at the international air show Aero India 2021, which will run from February 3 to 5. This was reported to "Zvezda" by the general director of "VPK" LLC Alexander Krasovitsky.

“Wheeled armored personnel carriers K-16 and K-17 IFV on the basis of the unified wheeled armored platform “Boomerang” received all the necessary official documents for promotion to the foreign market, in particular, advertising passports and export model passports. Taking into account the great interest shown to vehicles by potential foreign customers, together with Rosoboronexport, the machines will be presented in the Indian city of Bangalore at the international air show Aero India 2021. In addition, a number of negotiations with interested parties are planned, "said Krasovitsky.

It has come to my attention that the year is 2021 yet the ideas that "unmanned turret means flawed armor" or "easy prey for firepower kills (at least more so than regular tanks)" are still around.

Uralvagonzavod is making a huge mistake investing money into years of research and testing based on scientifical principles while they can just hire some internet eye ball expert to tell them what is wrong about their multi million dollar machine.

You probably chose a wrong forum or why do you bring it where there is no such discussion ongoing?

Not the smartest move. Just killed the possibilities of T-90MS.

That depends on the price of both vehicles.

Its a joke... even the domestic variant is very, very far from being complete, and they offer it for export... :D

Domestic variant is about a year away from mass production, at least according to MoD. Trials are usually a year long process, so domestic variant should be finalised.
