Polish Armoured Vehicles

Long time no see. Today, the Polish MoD signed a contract for 341 ZSSW-30 turrets. The first production batch is composed of 70x ZSSW-30 turrets, which are to be fitted to Rosomak wheeled IFVs. The batches to follow are meant to incorporate upgrades/modifications based on feedback from the armed forces. Contract for the 70x turrets is worth around 367 mln. $

Maybe, we have to remind Poland had an heavy IFV in the past : Anders.
So, if the future field army is articulated in both an heavy and a medium force, it can make sens.
We have to remind they have a specific problem with their river system. This is why Borsuk is needed.

Honestly they could just as well revive Anders. They apparently don't want to buy the AS21 Redback, but the Redback hull and fit it with the ZSSW-30 turret of the Borsuk & latest Rosomak. The same turret could also be integrated into Anders with ease.

Polish procurement is interesting... strongly driven by politics and somewhat erratic. Parts of the Polish defence industry are suing the government for the apparently cancellation of the Wilk program in favor of government-to-government deals.

What I don’t understand is how can you switch from the Korean K2 MBT to the PL standard during an upgrade.

K2PL which is dealt is almost the same as K2NO. The only differences will be another APS (KAPS instead of Trophy), Polish-made parts, programator for M1147 integrated with CN08 and Leonardo DRS / Sitaware BMS.

Both K2 and K2PL (considering what was shown) are very different.
Passing from an 6 road wheels chassis to a 7 road wheels one is a challenge. Up-armoring an unarmoured tank is challenging too. Changing the pilot position too, and so on.
Sharing both the same radio and BMS is a basic.

You don't understand me. K2PL which is signed tomorrow will use the same 6 road wheels chassis with the same driver position (and hull rack position) as in basic K2 and K2NO.
