Clan_Ghost_Bear
That's an interesting design choice for the 50 cal placement.
Xlucine
I like it, it looks like they're on an arm so they can swing round and fire forwards without increasing the width of the vehicle or getting in the way of the turret

I'd assume the rear, but it doesn't seem possible with that block-like object they have fixed there. That last image shows it with grating on the side, so I don't know what it's supposed to be. I'm also unsure about the engine placement as well. There's plenty of room for it up front, but there's grills and stuff in the back like the BMP-3 has it's engine. For example Kurganets have grills in the rear and engine in the front, this is done due to thermal signature reduction measures. Those grills in the back could be a part of cooling system. Cause of the fan), and the block is attached to the levers that open the ramp. So does that block move down into the ground with the ramp when it opens, or up onto the roof? The presence of the side skirts, turret storage baskets, and the laser rangefinder made me lean towards Type 69.

Timothy Yan
No ERA on the Type 99.....it's 30mm RHA + 20mm of sapphire ceramic on heavy duty bracket (probably 5-10mm thick steel) on the turret side (+ 450mm air gap + 80mm RHA + 45mm spall liner). The front tiles are probably twice as thick with more ceramic layers. They will probably start using graphene ceramic when they have enough production.
